News: Espgaluda II release date

Post by agony »

Seems this time it's for real. Try PCB shop has announced the game for November, 26th, and Alpha Station also speaks about 'November'. Time for some location tests, now.

if old, close plz.

excellentcom.net also sent an e-mail saying November, but when I asked about the pre-order price Fannie told me Cave said it will not be released until sometime in December.

definatly realistic, but if it does happen it won't happen until months after the pcb release.

Arcadia (October and November issues) have both said it's scheduled for December. The more reliable PCB retailser (Mak & Tessin) haven't said anything, so I'm going to put my stock in the December release.... if that. Just hope they finish it that quickly.

What I would be most worried about is that the time a PS2 release would be coming out (next Fall) is the time that most eyes will be focused on next gen.

I think they'll still be arguing about the blu-ray standard by then ;-) The PS3 is a really big pile of vapourware at the moment.

Hell, I'd be happy to see a port of Ibara announced. I wanna see how it plays, actually.

Like anyone but us pays attention to shooter releases half way around the world any ways, regardless of what system they release on.

That's to say, it may not be "important" enough to warrant a port.

IMO, there's still a chance it would do well considering (hopefully) it plays on PS3 also. Even if it's not a nextgen game, the demand for Cave titles will be there. I'd like to see SCE get the backward compatibility perfect this time.

As for Arika wanting to do Ketsui on PS3- Sure the new practice mode may have something to do with it, but I wonder if they may be planning to make a PS3 version of Ketsui an emulation.
Kinect? KIN NOT.

Not enough to compete w/ launch titles. The genre, and Cave themselvse are still very nietsche, just bigger in Japan. The first ESPGaluda and DOJ all sold very few copies in the big picture. 10,000 or so, if I'm not mistaken.

I must have missed the chapters in existentialism about chaining for scores...

I dunno, I think GPunch is right. Nailing chains in DOJ is like gazing into the abyss. That shit gazes into you.

If they're planning to do a PS2 (or in this case... PS3) port, this would be jawesome to the max.

ncsx.com has Espgaluda II listed for $2400 shipped. They say it will ship in MID NOVEMBER. Earlier than expected. Read the full details on their site:

Very nice. I'll have to check out the market at that time, but I'm sure it'll be cheaper to buy it in yen. I still doubt it'll be out next month, but here's hoping.

FYI: I'm planning to splurge and pick it up. Perhaps we can convince Wanderer to graciously open his home for a little meet.

EDIT: Well, Mak-JP is saying it should be out at the end of November. Starting to look good. You rarely hear about games being vinished early. :)

The Pop, unfortunately, looks pretty lame. I'm hoping that's not what they use as the finished version. You can get a small tatse of the new Kakusei mode by looking at the bullet dispersement in the bottom righthand corner.

Vapourware? :? It's supposed to be the most powerful of the next big 3 consoles; IBM is working on it, and it has 2 PC graphics cards that retail for $500/piece.

Is it out yet? No? It's vapourware. Are it's specs finalized yet? No. (despite what sony may want to tell you). When they start showing actual games running on actual hardware, then maybe we can talk.
