Thanks!

So......

In the Dreamcast version, is it normally easier to trigger volcanons in Score Attack mode than it is in the game itself?
I was muscle-memorying stage 4 for a while and had a path figured out, full with those shiny medal showers, then I went to the main game and failed at 90% of them volcanon triggers. :?

Yes, in Score Attack mode it is much easier to get the volcanons since less onscreen medals are needed to get them. Good for the mode itself, but it makes practicing the volcanons there pretty senseless unfortunately. :(

Stage 4 is one of the hardest for scoring. I remember failing miserably there. The reflect laser is better for this stage, but not for the whole game of course...

If you are playing well, you can more or less play stage 4 for survival, because by the time you get there, the multiplier will be high enough anyhow. I only say this because stage 4 is so hard.

Just started to play this game and require some expert insights.
It seems Rob removed the info in the first post though. Is there elsewhere more info (apart from the GigaWing 1 posts)?

I'm actually in the same boat. There's a guide on Gamefaqs that goes over the main scoring mechanics. Also the Highest Scoring Replays topic has some good replays available.

Thanks Nem :D

Still wonder why Rob now actively also removed the title of this post?
