Never ordered from rancor, but have buddies who have. And they all got their goods. So, I would have no problems ordering from him, if need be.

That's tokyoshmups.com, right? That's where I got my Batsugun. He seems reliable, plus I got some extra goodies with my orderTyranix95 wrote:Never ordered from rancor, but have buddies who have. And they all got their goods. So, I would have no problems ordering from him, if need be.

Yeah, as incog said it's not 100% necessary. If that much correction had been required every time the darn thing never would have gotten anywhereTyranix95 wrote:Hey Nifty,
I spy 93 Top 25 Ballots so far.
And looks like 30 Ballots do not have brackets around the game titles. (n1, n2.)
Not sure why putting brackets around the title of the game is so hard.
But, looks like you may have to fix a few Top 25 Ballots to avoid tossing out some ballots out.

Three days remaining.

incognoscente wrote:Yep, but I built in lots of automatic ballot correction stuff in the past few years to cut down on my having to manually fix so many ballots. Yours should parse just fine.trap15 wrote:Are you running a script to do all the stuff?
Really, as long as the weight is before the title on the same line with at least a space between them, it should be OK. But telling people they need to place brackets is tradition and tradition is cozy like a warm blanket.

Then that just leaves 5 ballots:
Aleksei, MX7, ED-057, Iori Branford, and ResumeDPosition.
Looks like spacing or numbers.

Thanks for pointing these out. They should be fine now, too.Tyranix95 wrote:Then that just leaves 5 ballots:

Awesome!
Then 5 more ballots to go to break 99!
Let's make this happen.

A final reminder that there's now only one day to get those submissions/edits in, before voting closes at 3:59am GMT February 23rd. (If a mod could close it then or ASAP afterwards I would be very thankful.) I know there are still a few regulars who haven't voted yet
It has occurred to me that I probably won't actually be here at that time, but it will take a while (usually some days) to compile the final list anyway.

There needs to be some kind of e-mail notification sent to all forum members when the Annual Top 25 vote begins, as I almost missed it again this year!
More people would vote too, the result would be more accurate, it would reflect the tastes of more people and thus be more valid.

Much as it sucks to have folks miss out, it should be obvious enough to anyone who checks Shmups Chat at least once a month. I don't even know if this forum supports such a function, and it's sure not getting done manually.

Going to be really interesting to see what changes around from last year's results.

If I don't see a Milestone game on the top ten, you all suck!

I started playing Illvelo after I posted my list. It's a pretty good game; it really should have made my list.

Ekkk! That game is just too psychedelic, it makes you think what kind of messed up drugs the programer's were on when they were making it!

Maybe I'll finally get Radilgy into my collection this year sometime. I remember when a friend of mine got it, we ended up being unable to stop playing for hours. There's something so magnetic about its sense of gleeful destruction, and the Milestone formula was so fresh at the time. This was coming off of Chaos Field too, which was definitely a warm-up game for them.
How playable is the North American Wii release on that Milestone collection? My experience with the DC Milestone games was that since it's all vector art with hard lines that the letterboxing in horizontal orientation pretty much kills it. Is it the same on the Wii, or is it more anti-aliased?

Man, I hate waiting.
Any word on the results.
Even a dirty copy would be fun to look at.
