Re: Ginga Force (Qute, Xbox360)
Someone on youtube had posted that Ginga Force would come with 2 additional hidden games. First I've heard of it and after digging around the info was from this post on neogaf by adversesolutions:
Hope it is true! Had no clue about it.So get this, in the 2ch Ginga Force thread, some guy posted up some info from the Shooting Gameside issue that just came out, which had a 12 page feature on the game:
Apparently there are two entirely separate shooters hidden inside Ginga Force:
Judgment Force Tiger
Judgement Force Dragon
The details are a little sketchy in the report but apparently Tiger is a ground-based shooter where you go through the stages destroying ground-based enemies like cannons. Dragon on the other hand has you mowing down loads of flying enemies.
Both games have several stages and score attack rankings. They are unlocked by proceeding through the main story's chapters.
Sounds pretty cool. I'm really eager to sit down with this when it comes out.
Re: Ginga Force (Qute, Xbox360)
Now that would be awesome! Judgment Silversword sequels? I actually sought out a Wonderswan Crystal and Judgment Silversword to play it on the real hardware. Totally worth it.

Bah, had to cancel my order due to general financial woes. Should be able to pick it up in another couple of weeks, though!

Excitement~ Always loved SuperSweep music (specially those from Yousuke Yasui)! <3
And yes, "Aeronaut" and "Bust A Move!" definitely sounds like Yasui awesomeness~ *happiness*
Makes me wanna go back to enjoy Eschatos and Mamoru-kun again~
My Ginga Force has been shipped by AmiAmi now (after paying first of course), it might show up at the end of the week. ^^b

Just got a confirmation that the Sound Selection CD doesn't include the entire soundtrack.

Not surprising, KAI. The CD that came with Eschatos didn't include the full soundtrack either, but it did include some arrangements. ^^

Re: Ginga Force (Qute, Xbox360)
WOOT just got my "order ready" notice from amiami! So happy and I can't wait for the shipping notice! As for the inclusion of extra games, well that's certainly a pleasant surprise(as if I wasn't sold on this game enough^_^). These are good times for us folks, good times. So get this, in the 2ch Ginga Force thread, some guy posted up some info from the Shooting Gameside issue that just came out, which had a 12 page feature on the game:

Edit:
Just got my shipping notice as well. Now the real wait begins...

Re: Ginga Force (Qute, Xbox360)
Looking like a very worthy sequel to Eschatos so far. Also, watching the stream cleared my initial fears of the difficulty being low based on the trailers. Streamer was playing on Easy and even then still had some challenging areas. That last chapter was wrecking him.

lol, "mediocre" says the guy championing NG Dev Team's latest kusoge.psoslayer wrote:looks mediocre but quite fun
Game looks good, better than I expected actually. A lot of cool looking attacks, even on Easy. Does anybody know how Score Attack mode works exactly? Do you use a default ship or do the customization options carry across?
Re: Ginga Force (Qute, Xbox360)
Ain't that the truthlooks mediocre

Generic polygons, crappy HUD, lots of talking, shop... 99% sure I'm going to pass on this.

This is the story mode being played on the easy setting, though. Presumably the arcade mode cuts a lot of that fat away...

Re: Ginga Force (Qute, Xbox360)
Not watching the video because I want to keep the surprise intact.
But I have full faith in Qute after Eschatos. Probably my favorite shooter on 360 after Futari Black. I'm sure M-Kai has made some bad games, but none of the three on that disc were less than great. They're trying a lot of radical stuff with this release, and that shakeup is exactly what the genre needs. And they're keeping things standard for the arcade mode, so I'm not worried about that at all.

Re: Ginga Force (Qute, Xbox360)
Only thing that pains me is that I won't be able to understand anything in story mode.
I know, story in shooter, blah blah, but I'm actually at least semi-interested in knowing what's going on when everyone is talking all the time

Re: Ginga Force (Qute, Xbox360)
Me too. Especially because I respect Qute enough after Eschatos to be really interested in what kind of story they'd cook up.drunkninja24 wrote:Only thing that pains me is that I won't be able to understand anything in story mode.

ED: Also, for future reference, Play-Asia emailed me saying that they'd adjusted the price because it dropped, so don't feel a need to cancel and re-order if that happens.

Re: Ginga Force (Qute, Xbox360)
Story Mode on Normal does not fuck around... the second stage was giving me trouble until I had amassed several extends (granted, unlocking better weapons certainly helps). It is cool that having an Eschatos save file will unlock the Eschatos ship weapons for super cheap in the parts shop. I do find it useful that you can use your primary and sub weapons simultaneously in this game, unlike in Eschatos.
Re: Ginga Force (Qute, Xbox360)
Looks like there's no tate mode =(
Re: Ginga Force (Qute, Xbox360)
Why would there be? It's designed as a horivert.

You can even move your ship way past the stats borders that are covering the screen.
I do love how much the difficulty ramps up even on the lighter settings.
For the very few interested, translated achievements available in the Strategy sub board.

Re: Ginga Force (Qute, Xbox360)
Great way to start the weekend is coming home to Ginga Force shipped EMS from AmiAmi!
Update: Been having a blast playing over the last day. It took me some time to figure out on stage 2 not to destroy the seeker bots, only disable their seek mode or whatever. I like how each stage is pretty much one prolonged boss fight. Definitely has exceeded my expectations so far. And the MUSIC, sooo good.

Re: Ginga Force (Qute, Xbox360)
I just want to say Ginga Force is awesome. I really hope Qute continue making shooting games. They came out of nowhere and have proved themselves to be among the best IMO.
Re: Ginga Force (Qute, Xbox360)
if i order Ginga Force will it run just like any other game on my pal xbox or will i need any other specific wire etc ?
