Red pixels displaying on Batrider PCB?

Post by SePh1r0tH »

So I've been having this problem on my Armed Police Batrider pcb lately. There's red pixels going across the screen that don't go away. It doesn't happen every time and only happens with this pcb. It's not always a distraction but sometimes it is depending on the brightness or colors of a level.

Here's how it looks

On the last photo you can't even really see it.

Anyone else have this problem with any of their pcbs? Any easy fix?

Thanks !

that seems really strange, check your voltages at the jamma edge. I know I've seen some graphical glitches show up when my +5v is off.

It's a known problem, been mentioned on AO before. I'm not 100% but I think it was to do with monitor settings rather than power, but check the voltage anyway!

Some Raizing boards do not like high +5.

i tried batrider again with my mak supergun and it works perfectly fine.

the problem must have something to do with my candy cabinet. wrong voltage should be the problem.

Last time I hung out with arcade game, he seemed to understand the problem. Apparently it's directly related to the cab, possibly due to some coating on the monitor (apparently only Egrets have this problem?).

However, I do recommend checking your voltages, it's possible that is the real problem.
