Thanks for all the kind words. It was a ton of work and many many years of collecting them.

I paid $800 for the Gain Ground, but that was over 10 years ago. I heard only 300 were made and have only seen 3 since I started collecting games in 1998. And I owned all 3 :)

The first one I bought came from the TILT arcade in Pensacola and I only paid $300 for it. Ended up selling it to a friend and he vanished, so I dont know what happened to him or the game.

To answer your question, YES im good at the game. Played it in the arcade as a kid quite a bit.

Not sure how many were made, but it is definitely considered rare here. Minimum you can get a board here is for 80,000 yen, and you have to wait. Definitely not a dediacated cab. I translated a couple of interviews relating to the series. None ever said the numbers... they rarely do. Only one I ever read that had solid numbers was for Night Striker world wide, and I think that number was a paltry 333.

I use to hit a lot of auctions in the 90s and 2000's but never saw a Gain Ground in any of them, but saw several Crackdowns and Hotrods. I was considering buying them all, but having those huge cabs would have been pointless.
