Exactly.
この『RA.DE.』(レイド)とは、本作ボス戦のBGM『Raging Deicide』の略である。

It's the latter (Kai's) explanation. They originally wrote "Raging Decide" somewhere (OST?), but then explained it in Japanese. Eventually they fixed the Engrish to Deicide. IE, to kill gods.

They could have come up w/ something better, as they are clearly butterflies.

Anyone remember The Bugaloos?

In one of the articles they struggled to find names of butterflies that weren't scientific in nature. Apparently Ageha, Tateha, and Seseri was it. Seseri is a moth, according to Google images.

Funny story actually. Junya Inoue picked up some curry for lunch at the office, which didn't quite settle well. Ikeda wanted to title the game ESP Fighters, but Joker Jun, in his deranged stomach wrenching state, snuck in ESP Ra.De. at the last minute. Ra.De. being a contraction of "Raging Diarrhea."

The sad thing is, after spending 15 years in corporate Japan, I can tell that diarrhea is simply not off the table when discussing (with anyone) why you're not able to make it to work, or just talking about health in general. No punchline here, folks. Sorry.

Jeff, are you sure this is Legit? I can reasonably undertand needing the above phrase but pretending to be the terminator?

Man I totally saw that series a few years ago. There was one about a robbery, isn't it?
This is my signature. It's so unique, nobody else has it.

Just can't work out why they decided to dress the robber as Ebisumaru from Goemon.
