I got a Dreamcast recently, and while I do like the controllers, I really want to hunt down something for fighters like MVC2 and Street Fighter III where you have to use half/quarter circle motions a lot because it's a little hard to do them with the D-pad sometimes. Would it be better to hunt down the "Green Goblin" arcade stick despite it being pretty expensive now or are there better, cheaper solutions? I know there's that one ASCII pad but it goes for almost $100 on eBay sometimes.
(I'd love to own the twin sticks for VOOT, but holy jesus those go for insane prices too)

Re: Dreamcast controller dilemma
The only other alternative is to go with a Sega Saturn Twin Sticks controller and use a Total Control 3 adapter to play VO:OT properly on the DC console (and is cheaper on the wallet as well).
I'd spring for one of those Agetech DC Arcade Sticks (aka the famed "Green Goblin") and have it further customized with all Seimitsu arcade parts for a truly world-class Japanese arcade-spec arcade shmup experience that $$$ can buy. You won't be dissapointed in going that route, Zeether.

Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.

Thirding. I use the Total Control Plus to hook up my PS2 Hori Real Arcade Pro to my Dreamcast. Works great. Just make damn sure you don't plug in or unplug VMUs when the console is switched on, as I hear it will brick them.null1024 wrote:Seconding.KAI wrote:Buy a Dual Shock to Dreamcast adapter.
