Bought this yesterday, and I'm having a lot of fun with it. I just really really wish they wouldn't have the dialogue in the middle of all of the action, and I can't find any way to turn that off? It's even there in score attack mode, which is stupid since you should know the missions by then. I wouldn't mind if the dialogue were at least ENTERTAINING, but there's very little Suda-style presence in the writing here... nothing too weird or cool.

The soundtrack is also balls, I really wish it would have had a jazz soundtrack by Masafumi Takada instead of the j-pop they went with (I like the game over sound?). Think like... Sub Rebellion.

Er, sorry for ranting about the things I DON'T like, the game's still really cool. It reminds me a lot of Omega Boost control wise, which is never a bad thing.

linko9: I don't have a CPP so I can't confirm it, but afaik the only control options are to change the left trigger from tap/hold for strafing. Please correct me if I'm wrong, I would also really like to just use a button for locking on instead of the stylus.

What HAS Takada been doing? I think he left Grasshopper, which was the worst thing to happen to them. Yamaoka's great, but I wouldn't take him over Takada.

It's really hard when you can't shut off the story in middle of the action and that J-Rock crap. The stereotypical english anime girl voice is driving me up the wall, Even turning off the voice and the BGM you can still hear it thru headphones. :?

I think the gameplay is so-so.

Yeah. The music is driving me a little nuts too. I really dislike playing games without sounds though so I'm trying to bear it.
Not the greatest game but fun :)
Better than all the reviews will let you believe I think.

Want to pick up Gradius and Metal torrent this week. Looks like fun.

I wanted to wait to post about the game until I had beaten it, but it's just been either so boring or so frustrating so far that I haven't had the motivation to.

The controls for movement make no sense and don't suit the attack style of the enemies. The missles are stupid, they just kind of fly around you waiting for you to shoot them, eventually one might actually hit you. All the minibosses are exactly the same, and all the level bosses are too similar. It's hard to tell which attacks may actually hurt you.

This is the first game I've played in a very long time that doesn't really have any redeeming qualities. The visuals aren't even very interesting. WTF Level 5/Grasshopper?

I'm on the fence for this one. The game sounds like it might be interesting, but impressions I read are mixed.

The iOS port just released for $5.

What's the outlook on this version - anyone know?
