"Double Image" effect problem using component on Sony PVM

Post by Stealthlurker »

Does anyone have suggestions on what could be causing the effect below or if it's possible to resolve?

In the pics below I've got the following:

HDMI --> component --> Sony PVM

I noticed the same effect when I tried a component video out cable for my iPhone/iPad. Never was able to resolve it back then.

Would really like to try something like this because the composite video out on this particular console is very dim and washed out in terms of color.

Looks like you are trying to display a 480p component signal on a 15kHz display (480i).

definitely.

In order to get that working you need this processing chain:

HDMI -> HD Fury (HDMI to VGA) -> Scan converter (which downscales progressive VGA to 15khz SD).
