My stick just came in; I don't know how I lived without one. Even without practice my first Futari run made it to St4 no-miss with an awesomely high counter (at which point I promptly fucked the run up, I died once to something unfortunate then a second later I ran into an enemy beetle that I hadn't killed that was just drifting at the bottom of the screen, died at the boss a billion times, etc). <3 <3 <3

I kinda want to make rapid shot index my index finger, laser the middle, and bomb button C, but then I worry that'd make it weird if I ever play at an arcade...

What stick did you get Roo? I finally got a new Horipad EX2, batch 120401 which is newer than the supposed "fixed" revision 110601. I haven't used it enough yet to conclusively say if it fixed the input ghosting problem, but at the very least the d-pad is in way better shape than my previous (well worn) EX2.

Remind me next time to bring over the Hori I ripped the analog stick out of (I keep forgetting, gah). Looks very ghetto, but it no longer registers it, and thus no more worrying about it ghosting (even though it was like, maybe one tiny movement every 10 minutes if that). But then you can't use it for games that need a left stick.
