The units shipped before the option was availble are set to 1080p60. This cannot be changed at home.

So yeah, it's seems to works very well .

It's very well possible that the analogue input has a lower lag then the digital one....

Think I'm going to have to order one of these! Very curious to have a definitive benchmark for my flat panels! Do any of you know what output format it uses (4:2:2/4:4:4/RGB)?

Anything but RGB would be stupid. There are still so many LCD monitors out there which only support RGB through DVI.

I was joking with you. If the display is 11.4ms, it's impossible to improve that. Could it be error? The tester is supposed to be accurate within 1ms after all.

I'm going to say the HDMI DAC in the Fury is faster than the HDMI DAC in the monitor, pretty simple stuff.

+1 lag in HDfury 1 > +2 lag in monitor (or, as Fudoh suggests, between analog / digital inputs) = still lag, just reduced over that specific monitor or input

Is it the CRT? Seems unlikely if it's a VGA signal. HDFury, why not?
Although this raises an interesting point - could there be a "base" lag time present in the lag tester which always is added to (i.e., inflates) readings? It seemed to me that the first batch of LCDs tested with this device were giving consistently higher readings than had been achieved using other methods.

Yeah, pixel response time is separate from this. As LCDs refresh the whole screen at once, the delay between input signal and display refresh (assuming no processing lag) is almost one frame in the worst case (top-left corner) and near zero in the best case (bottom-right corner), 0.5 frames being the average delay.ryu wrote:that's not the pixel response time, though, is it?

I received my lag tester today. I tested my Sony HX729 today and the tester read about 44ms of lag. However, reviews state that this TV has 32ms of lag. I'm pretty sure I turned off most settings.
