Japanese XBL account, DLC

Post by Astraea FGA Mk. I »

Just got my Japanese Xbox for Christmas. I am in Europe.

I've created a microsoft hotmail address set to Japan with all of the required information.

Are there any precautions regarding the use of my Japanese account to ensure I don't get shut down (is that even possible?).

I don't want to make a mistake and lose my Mushihimesama DLC.

Another question, I have my MMP & PS DLC on my PAL region Xbox Europe account. If I add the account to my JP Xbox will I be able to use the DLC? On both accounts?

Thanks guys.

No, and it should be fine, of course if by any chance your 360 kicks the bucket though (which hope it doesn't happen on yours), you'll have to get another one and transfer all the content/licenses to the other one.

But getting to the point here...No, certain DLC redeemable codes are region/account coded, so for that Pink/Pork Matsuri DLC to work, you must input the code on the JP account, let it DL, and then the DLC can be used with any and all accounts. Last I checked though, Pink/Pork game disc was region free...>_>

In short, Nothing bad will happen to the alt. account, and 2. Certain DLC is region coded to certain region accounts.

I would say that it is a good idea to keep a record of your login details somewhere safe etc as I made the mistake of forgetting my details and had to buy a MMP code again. I use my JP account so little as it is just for DLC and the odd demo but when MS decided to update the security, I had to login again and couldn't remember my password or anything.

Yeah I already have MMP & PS, ESPGaluda II and Mushihimesama Futari. The MMP code is used on my Europe XBL account. I was hoping if I put this Euro account on the new NTSC-J Xbox I could play Matsuri.

I got the 4GB arcade model Xbox 360 slim
Microsoft 320 GB HD
Mushihimesama HD
Ketsui
Dodonpachi Daifukastu Black Label (Ketsuipachi ^^)
Deathsmiles IIX

Not a bad haul. I can put my PAL region Xbox on the main floor in the home theater room and this new Xbox in my bedroom with my excellent LCD TATE setup. Pretty much as good as a cabinet, at least I think so.

I almost bought a cabinet and SDOJ but this seemed like a better and less expensive option.

You couldn't have used the mmp/ps code on your european account because it only works on japanese ones. Futari 1.01 codes work worldwide though.

Well I used the MMP & PS code on my PAL region Xbox and Euro account when I got the game quite a while ago and it worked. I can play MMP Matsuri with no problem.

I put both of my accounts on my new Xbox and Matsuri mode is not present on either account unfortunately.

Is it possible for me to buy XBLA and on demand games on Japanese XBL from a European ISP?

Yes you can. You just have to make sure you have a JPN points card.

For games on demand though I don't think you can use points so you may need to register a card if you want Shooting Love or something. Could be wrong though so maybe someone can wade in with the correct answer.
