We don't know if there are scoring differences, so probably best to use hal21.

Could do better, I keep getting killed by those things that pop out of the ground.
Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.

This notion could be applied to any shooting game, potentially :) Just curious, is this some Twin Galaxies type of thing?

I didn't sign up for this yet but I assume I can do it here since it was said that you can sign up anytime. Anyway, this is more fun than I expected from a game older than me.

More fun to be had on easy. Easier, sure.

Really not digging the memorization element and having to just remember to keep your ship somewhere that enemies won't ram into it. I generally don't like games that just spawn the enemies on the other side of the screen from you.

God, that boss is an asshole. I've only made it past him once.

Also, I really don't like how the most effective way to score is for that random invulnerability power-up to kick in and then get a bunch of those random pyramids under you. It feels like scoring is almost totally out of my control.

Best terrible, awful Xevious ripoff I've ever played.

I'll probably try again later. WTF is up with that one enemy that splits into a million pieces that home in on you? I got past the first boss and then immediately those jerks finished me off. And why are there magical buildings that insta-kill you? Crazy stuff.

No-missed to the boss with like 74k. Boss takes me down to no lives in stock. I kill boss. Boss explosion kills me. Fuck. This. Game.

really shouldn't be doing this but:
Obscura wrote:Also, I really don't like how the most effective way to score is for that random invulnerability power-up to kick in and then get a bunch of those random pyramids under you. It feels like scoring is almost totally out of my control.
neither are random:

-you get invincibility after every 5 [E]. you may lose [E] after dying, haven't checked.
-pyramids always appear in the same spot, and seem to be linked to where you move over that spot.
yyr wrote:I'll probably try again later. WTF is up with that one enemy that splits into a million pieces that home in on you?
those are weird, they stop homing in eventually. if you just move straight up through them you should be able to dodge them all. you can also try to kill them before they split.
yyr wrote:And why are there magical buildings that insta-kill you? Crazy stuff.
that invincibility is how you kill them, so time invincibility for points.
