Update:

OK, here's a two part 1CC story I made back in Dec and Jan. It's sort of their "set up story." It seems like a simple mock boxing match spoof at first but as you can tell, there are a few little clues sprinkled about bigger things that will happen later. I actually already have a sizeable arc pre-planned for it. It will one part cartoon, one part comedy, one part love story and one part sci fi. Something even long time shmup folks here may not know is I have been drawing cartoons for many years. Mostly doodling but every so often I make a short book or two. One work I am proud of which I came up with this year is called "1CC." It's about a regular guy who enjoys old school games and who has two robot friends. The shooter reference is obvious but it also stands for the central character's names. 1 = Louis, C = Cecil and C = Claptrap.

This one I wrote and drew on the spot at work last Friday while hearing two of my co-workers blabber about Everquest for the billionth time. And no Louis is not dumb, he is deliberately annoying the guy:
