"Unity" for Gamecube (Llamasoft)

Hey...

Does anyone know whatever happened to Unity for Gamecube? Was it ever released anywhere? I heard about it last year, and being a big fan of TEMPEST X (2000) I was waiting for the game to come out but never heard anything else. Anyone know the inside dope?

Sorry to say it was cancelled. Jeff Minter is doing the VLM for the XBox 360. So maybe after the 360 rolls out he can port Unity to the new XBOX.

Lionhead decided, and Minter agreed, that Unity would come out far too late in the Gamecube's life cycle to make the investment worthwhile.

Too bad, I was looking forward to it as well.

I think there is a very good chance we'll see it on Xbox360.
