I am back from the Gulf of Mexico

Post by EddyMRA »

I just got back after three long weeks out to sea.

I am assigned to the USS Harry S. Truman, and my ship was sent over to the Gulf of Mexico to provide humanitarian relief for those affected by Hurricane Katrina. I feel honored to be a part of that team, and to know that we did something to help the victims of the storm.

What did I miss in this forum over the three weeks I was gone?
The age of Alluro and JudgeSpear is over.

Good news.
New Gradius announced.
Revolution controller unveiled.

Bad news.
Many many pointless topics.
"Sooo, what was it that you consider a 'good salary' for a man to make?"
"They should at least make 100K to have a good life"

That would fall under "good news", no?

The second newest US carrier, that's sweet. Are there any F/A-18Es on the airwing?

Fleetweek is coming soon to SF. I hope a carrier will be a part of it, instead of just a couple of destroyers/cruisers and supply ships.

F-18 bah... You know the real stars are the F-22 raptors! and good ole fighting falcons.

Ps: Does the vessel you serve on have a big enough runway for the JSF?

I can't wait for the JSFs to roll out. I hope they have a more reliable vertical takeoff than the Harriers. It's funny how the JSF will replace the F-16 even though the F-16 is one of the best planes.

But the future is unmanned stealth planes, and mechas.

Well Alluro, first off, God Bless you for the aid that you gave to those victims, and I mean that sincerely! :P

The biggest news around here lately is that the XBOX 360 is shaping up to be quite a 2D gaming machine! Treasure is on board with it, and has already announced a new shmup!

Also, Sega has announced that no more Dreamcast games will be published for that console.
