I just hope this is Nocturne's successor, not Persona's.
III was flawless.

What happened to the PS3 SMT IV, Atlus??? I'm not buying a region-locked handheld for one game.

After SJ's lackluster sales, and Persona dominating the world, we're lucky we're getting an SMT IV period.

It's a no brainer that their main team are focusing on Persona 5 for the HD consoles.

I don't like the 3DS, but I don't even care. This looks awesome, and I'm glad to see the Nocturne vibe back! And, of course, I forgot about SOUL HACKERS, which is on display with it. These two titles alone will make the 3DS worth it for me.

Don't forget EO4 and Soul Hackers. Once Atlus gets on the 3DS train (and it looks like they are), I think that shitty console will finally have some games worth owning.

I went through the same thing with the DS (which was a better console from launch), but the Atlus games alone make it worth owning. When this gets confirmed for US release, I'll be buying one.

Does this mean 'not developed by the same team as EO1-3'?

I didn't know this either. I know Koshiro's still on the music.

Maybe the EO team are neck deep in SMT IV?

Figures. I'd been hammering the google for these hard the other day.

Lancarse is all over the other games. Atlus is mainly a publisher. Some say they were just busy with Strange Journey to do EO3. Churn is common. I couldn't find if Shigeo Komori (EO2-3) was still the director (dictator) or not.

Dual-classing has been made more reasonable now - you can only halfway max subclass skills so it's not all one blob.

It's been getting a lot of positive vibes from the internet rabble.
PSX Vita: Slightly more popular than Color TV-Game system. Almost as successful as the Wii U.

Yeah, everything I've heard about EO4 so far has been positive, that's why I didn't know if KAI's comment was some sort of cautionary note, or just trivia.

First-person and a nonretard battle system will pretty much seal the deal.

I preferred the third person battles in nocturne, but I'd be happy with first person. Don't know what a 'retard battle system' is.

Probably means not using SJ's alignment bonus attack system. It wasn't bad, but they can do better.

Still really hooked on the press turn system. I agree that SJs battle system was only OK--it ultimately didn't feel nearly as tactical or exploitable as the press turn system. Would be interesting if they found some way to retain something similar to the press turn system while also allowing both sides to attack simultaneously--which I realize is what they were trying to do in SJ, it just didn't end up working that well.
