The choices for this week are:
- EspGaluda
- Ketsui
- DDP DOJ
Savestates work fine for any of those games in MAME (they are the same engine), but do expect people to 2-ALL either DOJ or Ketsui. The difficulty of DOJ is somewhat overstated, though WL is still very frustrating given its extend system.DrInfy wrote:DOJ White label? Isn't it kinda broken in MAME? At least my version breaks save states every time. Anyways if DOJ white label wins and we're still seeing 5-10 people 2-alling it, I'm going be slightly suspicious of the honesty of the tournament (and the top players). :p

This, so much. It's not even that the scoring systems are awful on their own, they are just completely awful for a 1-week scoring competition where the handful of people who seriously play the game outside of STGT have such a significant advantage that no one else might as well play.Chaos Phoenixma wrote:But please, ESPGaluda. The other 2 games have awful scoring.

Following that pattern, Cho Ren Sha will win next week as well. Hmm, maybe I should start taking bets for STGT gamesKAI wrote:Week 1: Striker 1999 (2 Loops)
Week 2: V-V (2 Loops)
Week 3: Salamander 2 (2 Loops)
If we follow this pattern, Espgaluda is out of the question.
STGT seems to be partly about getting people to try out games they might not have seriously scored in before, and I agree EspGaluda is probably the newbie friendliest for a one week competition (especially considering how many points are in the other games' loops, the difficulty getting there, etc).trap15 wrote:This, so much.
