Arguably, the best booth on the QuakeCon expo floor was Apogee and Interceptor showing Rise of the Triad multiplayer action. This game has only been in development for five months, so this early alpha build has one map so far. There are bazookas, jump pads, and dual pistols galore. The game's speed should make the Quake III Arena and Unreal Tournament crowd very happy.
Instant excitement. Would be nice to give Half-Life mods a rest and get back to basics.

So glad to see a Rise of the Triad reboot. Hope they don't butcher it...looks pretty promising thus far. Certainly looks like a classic FPS with modern mechanics/graphics.
