Well, I don't know about the current climate in the UK, but here in the US new shooters for home consoles like Gradius V and R-type Final tend to come out at $30 rather than the normal $50. There are exceptional cases, like Shikigami II for $10, but my guess is that Xyanide will retail at $30 or more here.AAA wrote: retail cost for the game in the uk in current climate could be no higher than £10

[quote="AAA"]just because the developer is showing the game in leipzig doesn't mean it will definitely come out
playlogic need a publisher - which is now looking really unlikely

Yes, your right, its not a definitive sign, but its very likely that a puplisher will be found after a making a good impression on the game convention. If many people want to play it there, it should be that hard to find.
And this shows too, that playlogic hasnt given up hope that this will ever been released.
Lets hope for the best!

As I read today on gamershell.com Playlogic gets an offical licence for puplishing titles. So Xyanide is coming out for sure, at the end of the year. Yeah baby, yeahhh!

Nice news. I wonder if the PSP version will be a straight port of the Xbox original, or completely reworked into a new game like the cellphone and GBA versions are.Defcon 5 wrote:As I read today on gamershell.com Playlogic gets an offical licence for puplishing titles. Breda/Amsterdam 8th September 2005
After two and a half years of development, Playlogic International N.V. is now finalizing beta testing of its upcoming shoot´em up Xyanide, an action packed sci-fi game developed by the company's in house development studio, Playlogic Game Factory. With breathtaking visual effects, fast paced action and Dolby Digital sound, the game is set to revive the legendary shoot´em up genre.
It has been quite a while since old school shoot´em up games have been released on the Xbox, but now the long awaited Xyanide is ready to fire its rockets, laser beams, and smart bombs on hordes of challenging enemies.
The player takes over the role of Drake, a government executioner from the planet Mardar. Aboard a small fighting ship, his task is to guide the evil witch Aguira into the great maelstrom to be sure of her final judgment. But as an asteroid hits Aguira's prison ship, chaos ensues – and Aguira tries to escape her fate by creating worlds filled with the fiercest creatures, enemies and evil manifestations of her imagination.
You are the only one able to stop her and bring her to justice!

Xyanide is for:The ship is apparently carrying the witch Aguira, an innocent looking girl that has wreaked a lot of havoc around the alien universe, enough to earn her the name, The Scourge of Mardar. She is brought to the planet and presented before a committee of judges that sentence her to death. This particular execution is a doozey. She is supposed to be thrown into the black hole - or black maelstrom as it's called here.
Everything with the exectution almost goes according to plan, except that right when the ship is about to shoot her into oblivion, it's hit by an asteroid. This wouldn't be such a bad thing considering she supposed to die anyway. The only problem is that the asteroid that hit them was carrying a substance called Xyanide that makes thoughts come to life. The witch comes in contact with this stuff and all hell breaks loose. Huge metal-like masses appear out of nowhere and form gigantic structures. One little space ship that accompanied the execution team to the black hole manages to escape the vicious metallic tendrils spawned by the witch's dark mind. The only thing is that he's all alone, with an overwhelming fight on his hands.
