We've (flump studios) have released a new bullet hell SHMUP called Super Killer Hornet on XBOX indies.

I enjoyed the use of basic math exercises the most, oddly enough... haven't seen that in awhile (since Math Blaster maybe?)
Overall, it's a pretty fun little shmup; but it could use a lot of refinement.
Off the top of my head:
- explosions are quite static looking (and frankly ugly), you could use even simple circular or color cycling ones ones to greater effect
- the laser sound is somewhat grating
- something about the motion of the player's shot just seems off, although I can't pin down what it is exactly. Either it moves too fast or needs to fire in a more rapid succession.
I do like the enemy graphics, though, the way enemy bullets move is fairly unique (sort of a scaling grid?) and the choice of music ain't bad either.
