Not an easy thing, but if you wanted to offend me you've managed it. :( Essentially, if I have an opposing argument to a film, the sanity of a genocidal dictator, a game, whatever, it can't just be part of healthy debate? Call me viciously opinionated and a prevalent poster and I won't argue with you, I know what I'm like - and I know when I can be cutting if something/someone irritates me - but I feel sorry for the way you've come to view my contributions. You can call me an egomaniac if you meet me in person and spend a day hanging out with me, but I sort of resent you pitching that at me based on bullshit forum banter.
I actually worked really hard on that Asian film thread to offer some good watching that I wholeheartedly recommend. You realise many films on that list were suggested by xbl0x180 and others, and I watched and added to it as a result of their input? I can see your perception of me based on forum activity has made you see it as something different, and the same with the gamer girls, which was nothing but a shot in the dark whipped up on a whim, just another one of 10,400 posts.

I've been an ass about Bronyism, sure, same as others here, but there's no point in discussing in-depth if we'll be at loggerheads because any argument I throw at you comes with a preconception. I'll admit that's my fault to some degree, but I can't change it now.

You know I'm actually quite glad you're offended. Not because I enjoy being an ass, but because hopefully now you know how I've felt every time you've been an ass (by your own admission) in this debate. One solid year of ridicule.

I can say the exact same things about the assertions you've made about bronies and whether you intended it or not, when you were insulting the group, you were insulting me as a person. Like this Gem:
Skykid wrote:Far as I'm concerned, that completely validates my argument that Bronies are socially maladjusted individuals who latch onto the fad for support, not because of the quality of the subject matter.

njiska, if I genuinely hurt your feelings with my crass assumptions about your fandom (however bizarre it seems to the outsider) I'm sorry. When it comes to bronyism, I just don't get it, so I tried to figure out the reason for the fandom from a different angle and I'm quite good (bad?) at sticking to my guns.

Next time I see Illyrian (next week Nick, I'm bringing my clippers) I'm going to hold him down while I shave his beard off and get him to tell me why it's so awesome, because I wouldn't call him maladjusted either.

That's a pretty reasonable view. If, as some others are saying here, it was on and a friend was watching it, I might enjoy seeing some of it. It felt like a pretty clever show and well produced show for a young audience. *shrugs* This is very similar to how some friends of mine were watching Shaun the Sheep (from the makers of Wallace and Gromit), and it was really cute, while lacking that greater sophistication that made W&G something that could be enjoyed by an older audience. I had not problem watching a few episodes with my friends--just not something I'm gonna watch on my own initiative.

Yeah guys, please don't make this a serious conversation. I want to giggle about bronies, not argue about whether they all need psychological help. C'mon, then we're gonna have to talk about the Freudian implications of stick vs pad users.

Yeah, you definitely have offended me to the point that it has hurt my feelings. Actually you've been doing that in this thread for quite a long time and almost solely because you insisted on labeling everyone as being the same. I don't mind you saying that some bronies are weird or deviant or maladjusted, because that's absolutely true, but to keep pushing an opinion where you assume everyone, or at least the bulk are, is just being short sighted and frankly bigoted. That is what has been offending me this whole time and is why I have been arguing with you, getting angry with you and forming the preconceptions that I had.

I am sorry things boiled over this morning, but I think that was needed. Sounds like this disagreement needed to be aired out. At least I can give you credit for not accusing me of being a member of the god damn KKK like Elixir did.

Works for me. Like I've said many time in this thread, different things appeal to different people. Mad respect for keeping an open mind rather than just dismissing it outright. I'm not sure what episode you did watch, but the second season is generally targeted at an older audience than the first. This is due to Hasbro lifting the content restriction they place on the show requiring it meet the "EI" (Education) certification. Just some background.

Also thanks for the heads up on Shaun the Sheep. I didn't know Aardman was working on anything other than Pirates at the moment. Based on your description and what I've just read about it I doubt it's something I'd watch regularly, but I love stop motion animation, so i'll at least give it a look for that.

I don't understand why people get offended by post over the internet. I mean if you know the person, or someone said it in person, then yeah... but if not, it's just someone rambling without really knowing you.

Should just shrug it off or play along.

Yes and no. I think I stepped a little too far with njiska. I threw my blanket theory around here too liberally and it doesn't necessarily relate to him. I can see how that can get irritating.

Apologies again for pigeonholing you. I appreciate you're an exception to all the youtube stereotyping, you guys just don't often appear in the public eye. Well, Illyrian does, but it's difficult to knock Jay-Z's rapping equal.

Outside of this thread there's plenty we have agreed on, and I hope if we do have a difference of opinion on something in future you won't think I'm doing it just to get at you. Peace dude.

Hey you got a dispute settled without mod intervention. I'd say that alone counts as magic on the internet. :)

Price will come down in a few weeks. New ones were popping up sporadically on Hasbro Toy Shop today, so you may want to keep an eye on it. I am.

Pretty much why I keep coming to check up on these forums. Very weird and different, yet amusing without the annoying college kids 4chan / redit have spawned.

Well I can tell a good bit of people on these forums probably goes there by how they respond, but eh what can you do.

As someone who likes animation I really like the way they draw the ponies, but not so much where i would stick my penis in a stuffed animal. The stories are pretty fucking strait cut too (yes ive watched a couple of eps from season 1.

Yeah, that guy was a really oddity and he admitted to making the plushie partly to annoy the community and partly because he knew someone would buy it. The community reaction however has been priceless.

The fandom reaction to pony sex toys is just hilarious. I'm pretty sure the person who made the toy in the first place was just trolling anyway, so it's great that everyone had a laugh.
