Can anyone confirm this for me?

Post by Friz »

For the region free game Dodonpachi Ressurection, on Xbox 360, I was hoping someone could check this for me. I have no internet connection for my Xbox 360. I noticed a lot of games won't save your highscores without an internet connection. Does this game save your highscores while offline? Replays also?

It's not region-free, it's just playable on PAL and NTSC-U regions.

Also, not sure about highscores as the highscore tree is a bit complex but from what I can tell it seems to save mine and will ask to save replays after a game.

you can have your high-scores on your XBOX but you'll need and internet connection to watch the leaderboards.

It will ask you if you want to save the replay even without a network connection and save it to your storage device - provided you have replay saving enabled (I had it disabled as I found the additional Yes/No dialog annoying). The score is recorded on the replay. A second stage replay used about ~300KB of storage on top of the standard ~900KB for other save data. Because you are cut off from the leaderboards you'll only see your high score on the replay, or the regular high score display before and after the game. You can access the replays without a network connection through the replay menu item.

But it rarely ever matters if a game is compatible with a NTSC-J console since the regions that suck are U and PAL 8)

A very informative comment. Unfortunately some people have actually falled for this misconception which is why I clarify it where possible. It's as annoying to be on the incorrectly informed end as it was for me when Rising Star suddenly went anti-Australia with their distribution planning.
