Seems like the PS2 remake, is getting the HD treatment for this fall.

I already own both the original and Christmas NiGHTS on Saturn, with the glorious 3D controller, so I'll be passing on this. But it's great to know that anyone who wants to will be able to experience it.

Sega better release Shenmue 1 & 2 HD afterwards.

Shenmue looks pretty bad even in HD, actually:

An actual remake is needed to make these games look good.

I only played this in JP version. Although I liked playing it I didn't really have a clue what I was doing.

I was excited about this until I remembered I already have this on the Saturn. Still, this is great for the younger generation that only got to experience the garbage that is the Wii follow-up.

HD remakes are not upscaled. They are rendered natively at HD resolutions.

Not sure if it was worth the 2000 yen, but I got the PS remake and enjoyed it. It was a bit smoother. I loved the Saturn one and would be fine with it, but at the end of the day, it's blocky as fuck.
