Just got Trizeal for DC. Finding it to be incredibly awesome, poor production values be damned. It's like a more accessible and forgiving Garegga with plenty of its own flair. The secret areas in some stages are a nice touch and really ramp up the challenge.
I'm looking to improve my strategy (specifically, how to keep my medal chain going), but I can't find any good videos of it. The only full play Youtube videos are unskilled and played on a glitchy emulator. There was a superplay video of the 360 remix version posted in the Strategy thread, but it was axed by Megaupload's collapse. Does anyone have some links?
Is the 1P or 2P ship regarded as the better choice? They're locked to the controller ports, I know.
Trizeal superplay videos?
Re: Trizeal superplay videos?
There's this DVD set that comes with a 110 page book:

Yeesh, $65 for that is a bit steep. Guess I'll just have to keep on sucking if there aren't any videos online.

Personally, I prefer the 2P ship. The narrow laser needs some getting used to, but the higher speed makes medal chaining so much easier.Op Intensify wrote:Is the 1P or 2P ship regarded as the better choice? They're locked to the controller ports, I know.
I can't provide any videos, but allow me to plug my ST in the strategy section shamelessly, in case you haven't read it already. It may serve as a decent starting point for a new Trizeal player.

I'd seen your ST page but hadn't given it a decent look. Very detailed, it should really help, especially with all the stuff that won't show on a video (i.e. pressing the trans button 12 times at the beginning to trigger a bonus).
It sucks that the three versions (DC/Naomi, PS2, 360) have enough differences in slowdown and weapon strength that they each require separate leaderboards. You'd think Triangle would have wanted to avoid that.
