Who wants a RGB SCART tv?

Post by D »

I live in the Netherlands.
If anyone wants I could buy a RGB SCART tv and send to US or Japan.
The other day, a local supermarket had 55 cm RGB SCART tv for 129 EURO.
Offcourse a ridculous brand, but I reckon it's OK. The supermarket has a good reputation for quality electronics and very cheap.
If there is any interest, let me know.
I don't have to make profit on it.
I can just buy it when I do my shopping and send it during my lunch break.
If anyone interested I can check for prices for shipping and such.
I just want reactions from people what they think of the quality difference.
I will only do this for shmup members, just my way of giving back to the community.

I can tell the difference, since I was in the UK a few years ago.

Its noticably sharper than svideo, but saying that, I noticed some more expensive RGB SCART TV's didn't perform as well as some cheaper ones. I didnt like RGB on my Sony in the UK, it was too dark and had a border on the right side.
This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

Shipping a TV from Europe to the US is dumb. With a bit of searching, you can get nice RGB monitors for less than the cost of shipping, never mind the price of the TV.

Even an XRGB-2 costs less than that.

Thank you.

No, seriously I just wanted to let you guys know that I'd do it for ya.
Regardless of how dumb it might be.
129 Euro is about $150 and the size is 55cm, equals 21,7 inch...
And it has a remote, it would be nice for those who do not want to buy x-rgb devices and a computer monitor and or a tft screen and just want an rgb monitor with remote that could be used as a permanent TATE monitor.
And if for instance more people would want one shipping charges would come down as well.
Nuff said.

Just showing goodwill.
