IMO ZoE 1 and 2 already look damn good on a good monitor.. if they don't increase polygon counts it won't look all that much better in HD. ZoE2 has a bit too much effects going on though, it'll probably look cleaner in HD (but I still prefer the combat of the first game to the second. try out the hardest difficulty on ZoE1 if you can, I think it plays pretty damn well)

The collection is coming out on 360 as well, it was never for just PS3

Holy carp! That's awesome - I'm really jealous! I really need to pick that up when a few hit the used market. Is that front cover art by Mikimoto?

Yup the box cover art was done by Miki himself!

Too lazy to make a thumbnail, my new Dreamcast and stuff.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6443934/IMG_20120606_193904.jpg

The VMU and the white controller were new in the box [unboxing them felt soooo gooooood], the DC and the other controllers are used.
The blue controller works, but has a silly issue where the black part of the connector is coming out of the housing, making it hard to pull the controller out of the DC [and it feels like it'll break if I use it like that]. Really tempted to splice the cable for the assy red controller onto the nice blue one, but unless the red one goes bad, I can't be arsed to mess with it.
If I knew some way of fixing the blue controller without messing with another one, that would be nice.

But yeah, 100% awesome stuff.
Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.

Would an extension cable do the trick?

Did you guys seriously enjoy Threads of Fate in a non-ironic way? The game is barely playable and was clearly shipped before completion. Brave Fencer Musashi, though...Now we're talking.

Indeed, one of Squaresoft's best PSX deviations along with Einhander. Awesome game.

I am starting to see that ToF has some issues [at Mel's Atelier right now, doing those nasty platforming things that do nothing but show how badly the game handles precision platforming], but what in particular is so bad about it [other than that massive issue I just said  ]?

Also, I should probably get back to playing Brave Fencer Musashi.

@shmuppyLove
An extension cable should work, thanks for saying that. :D

My least favourite Onimusha it was when played on the PC (I haven't even finished it), but times have changed and Capcom don't do 'em like it used to anymore. Chances are I'll appreciate it more nowadays.

I actually bought both complete sets (they come in a thin slipcover) for Devil May Cry and the Onimusha series months ago, feeling too scared to open them.

Just the other day I had a shot at a nice (2002 model) WEGA 27" TV, thought about it overnight, went back and it was gone.

But in the meantime I found another motherlode of brand new old software (and there's a few more I am considering picking up, still, including the floppy disc version of CyClones...don't ask, I have 3 or 4 CD copies):

Microsoft Dangerous Creatures
Microsoft Ancient Lands
Microsoft Dinosaurs
The Incredible Machine (Win 3.1 version)
Lodestar: Legend of Tully Bodine (the goofy shit they try to sell in the catalog is hilarious, but I actually kind of want to find the camel tee and the trans temporal cap- the sunglasses look worse for having models wearing them, though)
3D Ultra Pinball (Sierra)
Myst (of course...slight packaging variation over what I've seen before)
Battle Chess Collection
and...
MAABUS CLASSIC! Yep, this thing.

Also got PCBs - a Combatribes for $30 (thanks!) and Aliens off eBay for $50 (including shipping). Going to check the Combatribes now.

For now I'm planning to run Raspbmc (equivalent to XBMC) for multimedia stuff. In the near future planning to use it for an automotive embedded, video processing or robotic application.

Nicely done Shmuppy. That's a good price and from the looks of it that copy is in great condition. Certainly better than mine.

I expect Sub Rebellion to be a three-dimensional update to Sqoon.
Mario Kart Wii taught me that the only (!) Nintendo character who doesn't annoy me speaking words out loud is Wario. Not exactly the only one voiced well (The Legend of Zelda series did that right if you ask me), but the Mario bunch keeps reminding me of everything Nintendo screwed up about N64.

Image

In a replacement box, but the disc is in a good shape (for the price I payed). Wanted to buy the 'Cube version, just to own one more racer to play on my Wii, but the PS2 original is way easier to get nowadays. Shouldn't make all that much of a difference after all.

Image

Quite surprised they managed to release it boxed in this day and age (maybe the NDS version included did the trick) because the whole package seems somewhat austere (even Psyvariar: Complete Edition has an animated intro), but it feels good to see a 2D shooter released like that again. Shame about the lack of 'Cube joypads support. As it is, I'd need to buy at least another wiimote to play the multiplayer modes (all this having already bought a Classic Controller Pro).
Oddly, while the wiimote & nunchuk controls (Fantavision, anyone?) are technically more precise, I played it longer with a CCP.
Good to see it well-programmed as well (the performance never seems to drop).
