1.0 Original Xbox 360
SPZ - 64,207,716 - ALL [Lx5] - [A = 2/3, C = 1/1]

(I have no idea how notation works for the 360 version of rapid fire, it seems different)

No miss, no bomb run. Significantly harder than the 1.5 variant, although still no match for 1.5 Original MAX. Video coming shortly.

That's all the Mushi from me for a few days I guess, got an exam to prepare for. :|

Congrats on the rapid fire western record, man. Honestly I thought you had lost it before you did all this crazy shit in just 2 days.

Thanks. As I told you though, I'm still playing the same way as always; that is, doing whatever takes my fancy at the time. :P Thinking about trying to beat that 65m score next - I figure it's possible with a better plant milk plan. Here's the vid.

JUST past the midboss on this run, and the only run, then destroyed ;_;

On my few other bests, its just the start of stage 5, this run was very lucky.

1.5 Maniac Xbox 360
1,144,748,057 - SPZ - Stage 5 Boss - Max

Should have been a clear, but I'm a moron so I guess not this time. Starting to get a vague idea of chaining but still pretty unsure when I should be using which type of fire.

Garbage score, but I cleared it! :)

Original 1.5, X360:

BulletMagnet - 30,280,241 - ALL (Lx1) - No max

A question for anyone interested: since this version is decidedly easier than "1.0" Mushi, would it be right to count this as my first "legit" Cave 1CC, or should it be shelved next to my DFK 1.5 Strong 1-loop clear and 2-loop Batsugun Special run under the "doesn't really count" label?

Not a huge deal, I'm just curious what the general opinion is on this front - either way I'm glad I pulled a rare 1CC out of it. :)

I'd personally count it, as well as that DFK run; sure, they're on the easier end for Cave stuff, but you have to start somewhere, right? Although I can understand not wanting to count DFK with all the autobombing making a 1-all feel a bit silly. :P If you're interested in continuing, I'd recommend 1.0 Original or 1.5 Maniac as the next step up.

1.5 Original Xbox 360
GUS - 51,399,752 - ALL (Lx3) - No max

First and likely only credit I'm playing of this on the port. The arcade version wasn't hard or anything but I'm pretty sure they dumbed it down even more for the port. "A" is basically a slowdown button now. Now back to grinding the fuck out of Espgaluda 2.

Also I think the "legit 1cc" thing is pretty dumb. A 1cc just means clearing a game without continuing and unless it's something like a 2-ALL or an Ultra mode clear I really don't think it means a whole lot. We should remember remember that these are scoreboards not survival progress boards.

Yeah, I know, I didn't want to make a big deal out of it - it's just that whenever I manage to finish something without continuing I'm like "...something's amiss here". ;)

I played some more Original Max credits today.

1.5 Original Xbox 360
SPZ - 336,641,732 - Stage 4 - MAX

No progress with survival (dragons past 50k are pretty scary), but hey, doubling the score isn't too bad. I guess this would be a good time to actually practice some stages; I'm sure a 1cc with over 500m wouldn't be too far off after that. I really like how getting hit doesn't really hurt your score much here, much less restarting going on.

Also got a Maniac Max 1cc, so will be uploading that one later.

So fucking stoked I got the 1cc of this I'll go ahead and post the score for the board. Most likely it'll get bum-rushed off the bottom of the page within a week or two once people who are actually good at these games get their copies, but w/e!

I'm posting this score just because it'st so empty. It's not anything special but..

1.5 Ultra Xbox 360
Cagar - 130,449,138 - Stage 3 - Max

EDIT: Aquas, remember to keep the "top scores" updated at the top of your post!

Yeah, I realize. I was just holding off for the moment because I'm expecting more scores coming in. It's kind of tedious. :) In fact I was thinking of removing that section because 1.5 is necessitating it to be twice as large.

1.5 Ultra Xbox 360
SPZ - 353,105,314 - Stage 4 - Max

Late replying to this but congrats!
I got to be jealous since I've put way too many hundred hours on Original and still not got the No Miss.

Thanks a lot, man. I've gathered the PS2 version is harder than the arcade/X360 version, though; I'm sure you could pull it off too with this version.

Yeah it is harder, but I'm not going to buy another copy of a game that I've already spent too much time on.

I'm hitting +1 Billion points on 1.5 Maniac (Max and No-max)... But wasn't the counterstop 9,999,999,999? Argh we have a long way to go! And yes, I know the port has extra digits, I'm just trying to gauge how sucky a 1 Billion score really is.

If you haven't separated PS2 scores, most definitely don't separate X360. X360 is the more accurate port, PS2 is nowhere close.

I also think the X360 version of 1.5 is easier than the PCB, at least in regular Original but it would be pretty dumb to have scoreboard for only 2 or 3 people.

You bastard. :) I'll try and beat that once exams are over, though getting scores beyond that seems to get pretty silly.
