SD: Dimahoo Enemy Drops List (complete!)

Alright, long overdue, here is a list of all items dropped from enemies when charge-shot. Such a list is necessary if you want to score high in the game.

- Enemies will be listed by order of appearance.
- If an enemy drops a certain item, he will always drop the same item at later stages. This applies to every enemy in the game EXCEPT for the red dragon in stage 3.
- If the same enemy appears at later stages, I'll just use the pic from when they appeared for the first time. Taking another pic of all repeated enemies would be extra unnecessary work.
- Secret items will also be listed here, along with the requirements to get them. For a short, complete list of all secret items and its prerequisites, head over to the World of Arcades's Dimahoo page, go to Items page, scroll down to the bottom and read the FAQ.

And yes Dunpeal, try to start stage 3 with 4 bombs and empty meter. It's a bitch. I'd say it's more important though to have at least a Full Set of Food, Shoes, and Axes or Staffs.

Also, what color are you using against Stage 3 boss? I'm using red (because he's blue), but I think I'm doing it wrong because he takes forever to die.

I am using blue on the 3rd boss, just because his eyes are red, and Dratrion's weakness was red.

I've still not managed to get the secret items from any boss but the first. Its tough to find time to charge!

I only get the fairy and gem for stage 1&2. For 2, focus on one side, once you kill the dragon head thingy shoot the propeller a few times, charge magic, and even if your option isn't locked, shoot the propeller to smithereens. Have fun trying to get the fairy on the second side too

I've changed my stage 1 strat to the popular method of getting all the items in order starting with 2, then 3 (get pinwheel), 4, 5, etc The 8th should be right around the two dragons completing shoes and food. Works like a charm and having X3 at the start of stage 2 will help alot.

I can't figure out how to get the pearl from Cypider. I killed him with 4 bombs in stock + lv8 charge shot and the pearl didn't pop out, weird. There's probably some other requisite I'm not aware of. If someone finds out how to do it please let me know.

Oh man, stage4 is just insane for score now that I know what to do. For the first time I just got piles of legend shields at X8 Now I just need to figure out how to regularly get there with shields complete and 4 bombs...

This game is going to last me eternity.

A nice thing I recently discovered: you can get the HOLSTEIN from the Ice Serpents with 8 bombs too. I wonder if it works with the excavator tanks too.

There you go, it's finally done. Biggest dumbass moment of mine was realizing too late there's an invincibility dipswitch that would've made my job much easier. Everything before Gigafacer was done by dying and reloading over and over again until I figured out what the enemy dropped. Lolz.

One surprise that came out of this was finding out you can actually get Fairy of Earth from Dribling R. The one guide I was using as reference noted that the guy couldn't open the chest cannon so getting the fairy from the boss was impossible. I reached that fight with 4 bombs in stock and immediately destroyed the left arm drill, and to my surprise the chest cannon opened up.

Anyway, everything should be correct, but let me know if you come across any mistake.

Ruldra, this list has been so helpful to me during the 2 years that I have tried to learn this game that I owe you a big thank you! Excellent contribution!

Two minor additions:

On stage 4 boss Cypider, to get the pearl it seems to me that level-1 charge is not enough. It seems that you need both level-1 charge and that the charge meter need to be near-empty. Maybe it is related to the emulation (playing on shmupmame currently, and the charge meter is a bit unreliable there), but it looks like having level-1 charge but charge meter being close to level-2 will result in no pearl.

On the very final phase of the final boss Gigafacer, to get the pinwheel it's not enough to use a level-5+ charge attack, you also need to be powered up to level 3 for both main shot and magic shot. That is, the criteria to get the pinwheel is the same as the criteria to get the ruby on stage 1 boss.
