Holographic games?
This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.
It's got nothing to do with holograms - basically the software he's describing reads real life input through cameras and uses that to affect the on screen image of the same thing.
The parts where you're seeing the digital image (like the rose or the car) combined with the real life image are the processed images appearing on a computer monitor or tv screen - it's not how it's appearing in the real world.
It's like an extremely sophisticated EyeToy.
