It doesn't have Xexex on it like the PSP Salamander Pack, though.

Xbox 360 Elite!

Not bought per se, a friend gave it to me for helping him do wiring in his new house. Had to carefully navigate the attic and fish some CAT6 and coax cables, it was not fun.

But hey, 360!!

Neither can I, and here in Mexico of all places where videogames are usually very expensive, and sellers on auction sites think they´re selling you the Crown Jewels with their prices.
Op Intensify wrote:It doesn't have Xexex on it like the PSP Salamander Pack, though.
Sure but being able to play the Salamander titles in 240p on a CRT SDT through RGB, plus the ability to use an arcade stick makes me forget about Xexex and that Gradius 2 MSX game pretty easily.

Picked up the albums Cocobat Crunch and Return of Grasshopper, both by Cocobat (whose song Cocobat Crunch was covered by Namiki to create Let Ass Kick Together for Batrider).

Pictures of the discs and some other materials included can be found at http://daifukkat.su/files/cocobat/

Really top-quality Japanese punk with absolutely fantastic bass work by bassist Take-Shit.

Their lineup has changed entirely aside from the bassist like 5 times, so different albums can sound quite different. I think that the original album version is better, and I'm pretty sure that most of the members were different at the time of that event. I do like most of their music, but I tend to have weird tastes in music anyways.

i didnt mean to shit on your music taste, apologies if it came of that way, im a pretty blunt guy.

when it comes to taste there is no wrong or right, and you share yours with one of the most influential videogame composers in the genre so more power to you..

Heh, nah, people always say "how can you listen to that!?" to me, so I tend to not really care what people think of my music. Being blunt is the best way to be; let others filter it to sound how they want, but if you don't say what you mean to say, someone who can filter responses may not understand the full point.

Some shizzle from the Katsuhiro Otomo show -- the one I didn't get into w/ NTSC-J. Got our tickets for Wendesday though. In case you were wondering, this bitch is selling out shows of original Akira artwork (mainly), 30 years later.

This thing is really great, and especially when you consider that it was only like $12 (including shipping). It feels exactly like a real Jap Saturn controller. I can't believe the quality of this thing. I've bought other USB gamepads for about this price that were absolute shit.

Where did you get them? Seller?
just go on ebay and search for usb Saturn controller and shop around for the best deal.

This thread needs to go from being called "Awesome stuff you've just bought" to just "Stuff you've just bought" .
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

What is that about Lawson's and tickets for stuff? For the Miyazaki museum the security dude on the gate gave us a hot tip that saved us about 8 months of waiting to get in - and it involved going to Lawson's.

"Awesome" is totally subjective (and maybe relative).

I'm sure every single item posted is awesome to somebody....

For example: The dude who posted like 30 pictures of NES games, Saturn games, glasses, books, etc... I'm totally sure that HE thought each and every item was way kickass...

Street cred, bah! That game is silly awesome. One of the few FF games I have played multiple times, and the second time was even more fun - knocking off the Via Infenito dungeon and grinding. Fast battle system, lots of fun. I thought FF-X was a big let down comparitively.

Yeah I think I've seen it in a couple of top ## lists for PS2, because it was significantly tweaked over X.

I guess a lot of people couldn't get past the lack of spiky-haired emo protagonist, the all-girl squad and the costumes. As I understand it though the costumes are like the job system in past FFs?

Battlesmurf is the man, I must say. His Recca reproductions leave little to be desired....
I first balked at the use of English on the back of the box, but whatever...it's in an American NES cartridge anyway....

Good stuff, great game, it's like a boiled-down Pink Sweets....and I can dig that.

Yup - I think they refer to them as Dressspheres. The big key to this game for me was the quick battle system and fun 100 level dungeon. I'm all about that stuff.
