Hell yeah... Strider's full of memorable setpieces, and that one is the greatest. It still looks fantastic now, and nailing that jump at the end never gets any less satisfying. Segues right into another great scene, the robot-infested tower with that awesome "blackout" effect and the scorching electricity bolts - and that goes straight into ascending hundreds of feet into the sky on hijacked enemy crafts with bombshells raining down on you. With the soundtrack constantly switching gears along with the action...

"He will never leave Eurasia alive!" Oh yeah? Fuck youuuu! and also: "Take me to your boss."

I thought Strider 2's version of the mountainside minefield deathsprint was horribly lame by comparison, but it made up for that with the jaw-dropping leaps between planes in the Flying Battleship's opening area. No matter how often I replay that scene I'll still think "fuuuuck!" while frantically steering double-jumps over the abyss and going for that highest layer of planes.

True superheroic action gaming.

I always felt worse for the pilot after I shredded the cockpit door and either killed him or made him leap to his doom out of sheer terror. No cutscene for him!

That Midnight Resistance cover is so awesome. Huh, I think I actually prefer the NA cover art for Golden Axe II compared to the Mega Drive. Perplexing!

The Mine Yoshizaki figurine is much better than that game. You should have at least bought the first one!

I'm afraid I got it through work. I haven't heard that any place is selling it early. Not long until the 11th though!

Of all the bad DLC out there, this has to be one of the worst :?

I can't try it, so I don't know but it looks like all these games are running off an emulator. Check YouTube for vids.

So here is the story: A while ago I purchased a new Tamiya M-05 Pro kit with an unpainted body from a local shop. That's the one on lower left. Two days later, a fully assembled kit with electronics, two batteries, and the two bodies pictured here showed up on craigslist for $300. A few days ago the price dropped to $200, I couldn't resist anymore.

Only after getting home did I realize that what the dude sold to me is actually the S-spec Limited kit, which is the Pro kit but hopped-up like Hell and then some more. It would probably cost me more than $300 on top of what I paid for my Pro kit to get these hop-ups and the electronics.

I've already snatched a few parts from the new car, so the old car should be totally within TCS-legal specs for silver can. The new one is also close to spec except for the power plant, I will eventually change this to a spec brushless system. Once I finish painting my original body though, I might sell one or both of the new bodies since I don't like them much...

Nice stick choice. Should have gotten the 8-way restrictor as well.

Thanks, after reading quite a good things about the ls56, I was really curious how it feels... About the 8-way restrictor: I tried playing with one in the past on a jlf, it was just not my cup of tea.

Hopefully, I'll find some time installing the parts and giving Garegga some playtime.

I'm pretty sure that's just a flyer.

What's that Taito Station stuff? Invader methamphetamines?
Why is it called the Vic Viper/Warp Rattler? Because the Options trail behind it in a serpent-like fashion, and the iconic front fins are designed to invoke the image of a snake's fangs.

It's a catalogue for Vita. I've got quite a collection of random JP catalogues now.

The Taito and Sonic things are oshibori from arcade venues.
