London Casino Crew meets (RIP the Arcade)

Let's start this off by pointing out that Spadgy is a cretin. I've offered him the following for what, I believe, is a staggeringly low offer:

Mega Drive (PAL), Mega CD (PAL) and 32X (PAL)
Mega CD games (PAL, boxed) - Sega Classics Arcade Collection, Sol Feace/Cobra Command Double Pack, Soulstar, Silpheed and Keoi Flying Squadron
32X games (unboxed) - After Burner, Mortal Kombat II, Virtua Racing Deluxe, Star Wars and Doom

And all of this for just £80! Easily less than half of its actual value.

The amazing thing is that he's even offered to carry it down to the Casino for me to hand over to you should you choose to buy. So no P&P! And Will has to suffer the pain of handing over the deal he's so foolishly missed.

The reason for the deal, incidentally, is that I'm trying to raise money for a purchase which will only be available for a very short time. Looking to close this deal now. Payment would need to be via PayPal. And nowish would be great!

In the interests of fairness to Dan, I will fully disclose that Andrew beat me at SF4 when I was using Guile, heck it was so bad I think I did better in ST (I did manage to win by bringing out my Juri which is that weird new character nobody ever sees) So yeah, kudos to Andrew, and I'll stop with the mocking as a result. For the next two minutes.

(I hope my complexion only looked odd because it's Casino and creepy lighting Yellowish complexion isn't good news)

I wouldn't be proud of winning at 3S if I were you when you lost two games and some assorted rounds and I've only played it for a few hours... you should be dominating, not merely winning It's sad to say, but that was my best performance (relative to expectations) of the evening too... I did do a little better scoring wise on subsequent Deathsmiles credit, but chain died on the Castle on level 2, which is pretty shameful and worthy of punching the cab. Or Dan.

(I'm always fairly angry when I do badly at shmups, which is 98% of the time by definition... but fighting games are pretty zen-like for me, though admittedly I'd never do a money match since I'm not Dan. And watching you play EspRaDe remind me of another Dan from Street Fighter!)

Considering that Dan Hibiki is by far and away the coolest Street Fighter character, I'll say thankyou for the compliment ALQ!

I personally think while you're in the UK you should drop the crappy SF4 and just play 3rd strike, especially if you get your Xbox back.

I might have to dust off my Urien or my Ibuki for next time though

The Dan comparison was for the other Dan, after EspRaDe Oh, speaking of which, Vampire Savior, make it happen! On GGPO if playing in real life isn't a possibility, I want to see you play that game someday.

Your argument should read "play SF4 since it has worse netplay than ST, 3S or Skullgirls or heck even Marvel possibly", and I have nobody to play offline with in France. I'm just not into parrying, or I'd be playing the regulatory French game instead (Soul Calibur). Heck, I'd play Blazblue over 3S too (I could do intermediate combos)

Next time I'm in I'll try and speak to the engineer about putting Vampire Saviour in. It stands a chance as he rates the game himself and I think there are a couple of fighters that are broken. Don't get me wrong, I'm crap at all fighters, just not quite so crap at this.

How about this for an excuse. I now can't do Tuesday because I'm being interviewed on BBC radio, and I have to do it over Skype, which I'll do from my bedroom. Imagine where my excuses will be in a year's time if they're like this already.
