I am right in the middle of track at that total 'writers block' stage :( - so frustrating - well theres only one thing for it:

frustrated procrastination, followed by some Gradius time and some Gatchaman episodes!

(I justify these by convincing myself it will 'inspire me' )

New track up. Little more ambient on this one. What would be the song for the opening credits. This zombie album is almost in the bag. :)

As always, feedback welcome.

And it looks like this synth-punk-pop-electro band my buddy has been bugging me to do is finally happening!! Just met the drummer and we are going to jam next Tuesday. Super stoked!! I haven't played with a band in like 8 years, and when I did it was on guitar. I'm interested to play synths in a band setting, since all my stuff so far has been me by myself playing everything.

Sexy melody. I really wish I could do something this nice in a classic 4-channel MOD.
Some of the instrument switching on channel 4 seems a bit odd during the chorus though, and pattern 0x11 seems a bit messed up in MilkyTracker [it seems to be sliding too far up].
Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.

The funny thing is I get the 707 last week and got the MKS-7 on the weekend, and the MKS-7 has a drum section, that is actually the samples from the 707.

yeah the interface of the 707 is what makes it special I think though - also it looks so damn sexeh, I honestly think it looks better than the 909 aesthetically.

That MKS-7 looks cool man

I know this isn't anything revolutionary or mind blowing, but for someone who hadn't picked up an electric guitar in two years and this was the result, I'm rather impressed with myself at the very least.

New track up. Did it over the weekend.

First one I've done completely in the box in a while.

Renamed the thread too as we seem to be using it more for posting our new songs, rather than music production.

I wrote a VST plug-in. It's Mac-only for now, Windows version on its way. Check it out!

Hey I just finished this yesterday: http://soundcloud.com/extentofthejam/he ... game-mixed .. it's very videogame-esque. It's for a one-day game jam game: it's a party where people break into teams and write a game in a day. This is the soundtrack for the game our team made.

I decided to try some 4/4 stuff with YM2612, and managed to make some acid sounding instruments too: Pretty-Pretty
And yeah... I've been watching Barbarella, it's awesome. :)

I downloaded some stuff yesterday - MuseScore and OpenMPT (I also looked at some other tracker...name starts with an m, decided against it for various reasons).

Uninstalled Creative WaveStudio 7; when I ran the Creative auto update it found a "critical update" and I thought "ehh, Audacity is up over version 2 now." You can keep your software that needs critical updates, Creative, even if it supposedly has more formats.

MilkyTracker?

It's my tracker of choice, but it isn't for everyone, and doesn't support IT [it can load them, but the XM format is very different in terms of feature support and how instruments are handled, so they will sound like ass when played back].

Also, as for recent stuff, here's an XM I made for a #mod_shrine compo.

Yes, this could be a goblin soundtrack, or (and don't take this the wrong way) the soundtrack to a videogame like Fez; very nice.
