I heard from the person who gave this that this Vic Viper model is only of its kind in existence; it was hand-made by some taiwanese guy who makes models for living and sells them in ebay.

You can clearly see all the attention to detail, though I was not able to focus the camera properly (I had 38.4C fever when I took these on my friends camera)

I can put up better pics of this if someone is interested :)

Congrats man, that is amazing. Hard to tell the size - can you include something else in the shot for comparison?

Thanks! Yeah, and sure. I will take some better photos once I get to home from work. I'll put something aside in the same shot :)

Now all you need is to suspend some orange orbs around it to simulate options and it will look 4 x more powerful.

That is awesome. Do you know how much it cost and what's the Taiwanese guy's eBay account? I'd love to have something like to accompany my R-9 model.

Looks like I misheard / misunderstood slightly the origin story of this model (I blame fever, etc)

Anyway, the guy who arranged this ordered parts from taiwan (+200 pieces), and then sent the parts to UK to a guy who takes commissions on different scifi models. He gave him specific wishes, such as ""Battle weathered" finish, as if the ship has seen some action and is not totally "brand new" straight off some assembly line (hence parts being "revealed" here and there, and the subtle but excellent touches of worn out surfaces, blast marks, etc

PICS OF EPIC MODEL
Nice, I thought it had to be fairly large judging by all the detail in it, but it was hard to tell from just the woodgrain on the table, thanks.

That's a phenomenal piece, I hope you can enjoy it for years to come!

It's sticked on the box itself (should be easily removable, unless some extra potent glue is at work here).
That kit is a bunch accessories for my GBA SP indeed.

Got a good deal on a slightly beat up poster frame, which was a great excuse to print a copy of this poster I made for myself awhile back.

I'm happy that's it's not any bigger as I've already ran out of shelf space twice! I guess I need to buy some cabinet for my models.

Sega Game Gear time! (games only, however)
http://twitpic.com/8o1pxw

Pictured is 15-in-1 (which has Halley Wars, Pengo, Sonic 1, Ninja Gaiden, Alien Syndrome, OutRun, Columns, Astro Flash, Teddy Boy Blues, Ghost House, Satellite and Hang On. The rest are just plain hacks of Sonic 1, Ninja Gaiden and Pengo) and the most known Sonic and Tails 2. Hope some of these games arrive on the 3DS (my cuz owns it actually)

Moving up in size and going off-road. Haven't had a chance to rip it anywhere yet...

I also installed a ball differential in the front gearbox of my Mini-Z AWD and tightened it up, I had no idea it would make such a huge difference! Now I can drift on any hard surface pretty easily, and it feels like it still handles about the same on my floor mats.

Nice. Got a set of RPM suspension arms for mine that I still need to install. It's also time to start thinking about pulling the big Revo out of storage and getting it up and running for the season.

Oh, and also did some upgrades to my desktop PC with my tax return: Dual 23" monitors and a 4-channel Cablecard tuner. Eventually the plan is for that particular card to go in a purpose-built HTPC to replace the Tivo (it has the ability to record up to four channels at once,) but for now I'm just running it in here until I get that set up.

Only the middle game is mine. I'm starting to wonder how "awesome" it is though. Gonna fire it up later in the cab for some disappointment.

Went ahead and picked up the MW3 bundle. The MW3 looks ugly as hell but the rest of the consoles design is sick! Package cost 300$, comes with the console, game, 2 controllers, 320GB HDD, and headphones. Pretty good price for what you get.

I'm not a COD fan, I don't care for pretty much any other COD game and I've played most of them (WAW, BLOPS, MW1) ...but I do like MW2 and heard that MW3 picks up exactly where MW2 left off, so I hope 3 carries over some of the magic.

Xenosaga was the reason for me to own a PS2.

1 and 3 are good games with sometimes tedious combat. 2 is really a disaster that you're forced to play through. :/

I recall episode 3 having recaps from the first two games. I still have not managed to make it too far into the first game though, so I don't know if those recaps are enough to consider skipping the 2nd game.

Still have this laying around too, maybe I should attempt to get through it for the 3rd time.

^^^It took me several years to get through the first game. I bought it on launch too. ...I remember buying Xenosaga II and owning it for almost a year before I finished Xenosaga I.

...BTW there is a really difficult musical puzzle at the end of I. Hats off to anyone who can figure it out without a guide.

Shit, that random fact might actually get me through the game.

Its not a bad game, its just long-winded. I really do want to get through it.

I liked the first Xenosaga alot, but that was during my rpg days which are long over. Some epic cinemas, and some that I nearly fell asleep through. I never played ep2 or 3 though.

Xenogears is really in a whole other league if you ask me, one of my all time favorite RPGs, up there with Lunar, Chrono Cross, and FF4.

In related news, I got emulation in PCSX2 running very nicely! Except it crashed at the 2nd save point ... oh well, there's always save states.
