Tnx to DC906270 for the previous thread. It's been a pleasure being with us.

Rules:
1) Strictly all defaults, single credit only, no continues, no nada, getz?
2) As quoted by DC906270, The boss rush levels on Super Darius and Darius Alpha are very different, as they are both DIFFERENT games.
3) The following must be provided for #1 score submissions:
a) For Darius Plus, Darius Alpha and Super Darius and PCB Darius players, pls. provide a pic.
b) For Darius and Darius Extra players on MAME, pls. provide either .inps or screenshots.'

Notes:
1) You do not need to put a zone letter when you've completed the game in one credit, but you still need to indicate your complete route when you got the ALL.
However, this is not needed in Darius Alpha in the Boss Rush Mode of Super Darius.
2) I am now accepting scores for Darius Alpha and Darius Extra. The same rules apply but with a few exceptions to Alpha.

Super Darius Boss Rush:
While holding Down+Select on Controller 1 and Up+Run+I on Controller 2, push Run on Controller 1.

The only reason for the score this ridiculous is that you are given 1mil per life after the last boss on the 7th and last zone. This is because Darius Extra, unlike the original Darius, does not have any checkpoints, just like Super Darius and D. Alpha. I watched his stage 7 video ( if you can find it at YT search) and he managed to clear the game w/o a scratch Imao. And you could see that his lives are counted, then multiplied by 1mil, then it's a clear. extends are found on zone M (the one behind the stump rock w/ the turret) and X (on the top of the mountain near the beginning). This is why he quoted this in the vid:

...this version gives an Extend bonus at the end of the game (1 million per life), to stop people checkpoint milking the final boss.
For a rather difficult challenge, I play the harder version.

I made sure i never used a Gold orb to clear the screen as you get no points, i think i got every grey orb available on this route. A majority of points came from stage 'M'
meteors pretty much didn't miss any

You can make Green Coronatus a cakewalk. Wait at the top-left for him to start shooting out his spread of bullets, move towards the bottom as he does, and repeat. Just watch out for that tail-laser on the way down, heh.

Bought the original CD a couple of weeks ago and have been having a blast with it.

I am surprised that I was able to manage this at work. Feelin' pretty fly about it. I played conservatively, not powering up before Fatty Glutton, and taking safe bets as far as levels go. I didn't aggressively look for bonus balls on the second half of the game, but other than that I went for destroying anything and everything before they could hurt me.

That's probably not the best, score-wise, but I am not sure just how sophisticated this game's scoring mechanics are. Most of the time I am struggling with the power-up limitations and debating whether to grab laser before or after Fatty Glutton. I have yet to discover a strategy that actually allows for easily or speedily beating the bastard with the laser; his attack is just too brutal.

It was a fun challenge; I'd love to get better at this to go for some of the other bosses in the game.
