DDP:Blissful Death (iOS) and DDP:Maximum (Windows Phone 7)
Re: DDP:Blissful Death (iOS) and DDP:Maximum (Windows Phone 7)
I can't believe how fast this turned up on installous. Give the poor guys a chance, jeez.

I love me some DOJ and feel compelled to snag this....but I feel like once I start trying to play it I'm just going to be annoyed

Mushi was up even faster! Craziness.Skykid wrote:I can't believe how fast this turned up on installous. Give the poor guys a chance, jeez.

Having the immensely fun stage5 to practice on the go, is heavenly, by the way.
Must be a loop on Hard or Hell, then. Will investigate later.Chaos Phoenixma wrote:Lx 4 should have looped it based on number of deaths.
What difference does stocking more hypers before you activate make?

What the ...? Mushi runs natively on the iPad and this one doesn't?

Re: DDP:Blissful Death (iOS) and DDP:Maximum (Windows Phone 7)
Is chaining in this game completely memorization? I can't do it, I definitely haven't put the time in on the PS2 and MAME though. The only DDP game I can chain well in is resurrection.
Re: DDP:Blissful Death (iOS) and DDP:Maximum (Windows Phone 7)
Yeah it's very anal set-path memorization. I'm not sure I've chained past the first midboss more than a few times, the timing is beyond me. Still, I find it easily one of cave's best for survival.

Re: DDP:Blissful Death (iOS) and DDP:Maximum (Windows Phone 7)
So am I the only person here with a Windows phone then?
I have to say, I've been pretty underwhelmed by most of the games on the thing so far, so the prospect of a dedicated Cave title is... just... AWESOME!!

Anyone else's scores not registering with the leaderboards? Also the achievements pop during the game but when I go and look at the “Game Center” page it says I haven’t unlocked anything.

Re: DDP:Blissful Death (iOS) and DDP:Maximum (Windows Phone 7)
The more hypers you use at once, the faster the hit rate climbs. The numbers aren't exactly like "1x Hyper = x2 hit rate, 5x Hyper = x6 hit rate", but they are of a similar fashion.Illyrian wrote:What difference does stocking more hypers before you activate make?
EDIT: Had another go during work break. 203mil ALL (Lx3), A-E, Normal diff. Died once in st4, missed the 1UP stupidly, but managed to chain major parts of st5 with 800-1300hits in tow for big points. Going to bump it to Hard next go and see if it loops.

I am crying inside because I'm only on 3Gs. Roll on my upgrade.

Same problem for me. iPhone 4S. Said NO to the Open Feint, but Game Center is not working either.
Also, Installous, this is for pirating? (opinion withheld) Do these pirated copies also show up on game center leaderboards?

Beat it on hard last night and got the 2nd loop, the game then gave me a smack down.

It won't work on the iPad 1 according to the App Store. (Still assuming the requirement for iPad 2+ is what ended up killing universal for this release.)KidQuaalude wrote:Just tried it via installous on my iPad v1. Working perfectly

If it really works perfectly despite the reported requirements... wow, Cave, wow.

Also working on my 3rd gen iPod Touch! (3GS hardware)
Think they've upped the requirements due to crashes with Mushi...appears to run pretty much as well as the others.

The dude on the top of the openfeint leaderboard got 700 mil last night. Wha...?
I don't understand why it's not visible on game center too.

So can you confirm the game runs at full speed, all the way through to the end, with no crashes? I can't conceive this to be an issue considering Mushi and DFK are a lot more demanding than DOJ but have to be sure...KidQuaalude wrote:Also working on my 3rd gen iPod Touch! (3GS hardware)

Re: DDP:Blissful Death (iOS) and DDP:Maximum (Windows Phone 7)
Seems to be working at full speed (dont have an iPhone4/iPad2 to compare against - tho do have it for PS2 and Mame) Might be the occasional dip in the frame rate/stutter (however that may just be the background quickly scrolling horizontally as i move my finger too quickly on the screen). Otherwise playing as well as any of the other Cave ports. Played to the end on both iPod and iPad and experienced no crashes.StarCreator wrote:So can you confirm the game runs at full speed, all the way through to the end, with no crashes? Cool. Nice to hear it works on iPad 1. I just got the tables for Pinball Arcade and Espgaluda II 360 is on the way, so it will be awhile before I get it, though.KidQuaalude wrote:Just tried it via installous on my iPad v1. Working perfectly

Just downloaded it.
I'm alone at work for 4 days so I'll have some time to mess around.

Any way to get it running on a 3GS or iPad 1 without jailbreaking? Can you buy the game in iTunes and transfer it over?

Try the method listed at the end of this ESPGaluda 2 review :StarCreator wrote:Any way to get it running on a 3GS or iPad 1 without jailbreaking? Can you buy the game in iTunes and transfer it over?

Re: DDP:Blissful Death (iOS) and DDP:Maximum (Windows Phone 7)
By the way, for those who aren't aware, this game is based on White Label, therefore you have no lives starting the loop. Ouch!

Re: DDP:Blissful Death (iOS) and DDP:Maximum (Windows Phone 7)
Gamecenter problem is the only pirate-copies problem!??

No, I paid for it and my game center isn't working

Did you accept or decline the OpenFeint prompt when the game starts for the first time?ratsflif wrote:No, I paid for it and my game center isn't working
Re: DDP:Blissful Death (iOS) and DDP:Maximum (Windows Phone 7)
so i got this one, and gave it a go, IT'S EFFIN AWESOME!!!... now, i need to learn the chaining patterns and the requisites to get to the second loop. my second attempt to the game gave me 108 millions. and i surely suck at this game... so i'll be playing on hard to get the technique done and hopefully get to the second loop sometime soon. any info on how to achieve that (on the iOS version... it might not be the same requrirements than on the original arcade version), would be greatly appreciated.

Not only is the title screen gorgeous, but the app icon looks terrific as well.
So, how much does the "insta-placement" of the ship influence the chaining system? Any parts where the chain would drop on the arcade version that you can bridge via the touch controls here?
Yeah. Pirating games that cost as much as dumb Starbucks coffee is incredibly lame.Skykid wrote:I can't believe how fast this turned up on installous. Give the poor guys a chance, jeez.

Re: DDP:Blissful Death (iOS) and DDP:Maximum (Windows Phone 7)
I just emailed Cave about the Game Center problem. It seems like it only affects some people though.
I'm also utterly disgusted to learn that people would pirate a $5 game from a small and financially struggling developer.
