There's actually nothing wrong with the game, it does what it says it's going to perfectly well.

Illyrian - what mode are you playing in Mushi? Me and hzt are hitting Maniac quite hard right now (I made it to the final boss on Saturday!), and I know JDE just 1CC'd original, so maybe he's up for Maniac too.

And next time I see you hzt, I'm going to watch your runs. I still need to pick up some strategies for stage four, so am trying to digest everything I can.

Well I've been playing on my ipod, so far I've had:

Original 1cc (Hell)
Original 1cc (Hard) no miss
Maniac 1cc (Hard) no miss
Ultra mode 1cc (novice) lolz

I've mostly been focussing on how to maximise scoring on the second level using the pods, but it's totally different on PCB because of your movement speed so on PCB I'll probably be as rubbish as usual.

Tell you what though, shmups in my pocket? Fucking love it!

I haven't been playing much Maniac actually, I've mostly just been saying I will do some time. My strategy for stage 4 consists of looking at the bullets and trying to move Reco to a place where there are not bullets. Sometimes everything goes fine - I've no missed it to the boss before - but if I get hit once I lose it completely. I played a credit today, no missed to stage 4, started stage 5 with no lives.

I will be down Thursday if you still want to see me play.

It's Mushi 1, I actually sold my Futari PCB a few months ago since all the Casino regulars felt done with it, and nearly everyone has the 360 version now anyway.

Thanks to those who turned up when I was around last weekend, was fun but it went so quickly. Got the hang of DBAC in the end, and started enjoying it quite a lot. Will have to play that more when I'm next down. Think I'll play Mushi more in the mean time.

We're struggling to find a Chinatown based Karaoke joint that wasn't booked out 3 weeks back. Kind of to be expected. If worst comes to worst we'll just get tanked up and sing Chinese songs without the aid of videos or music in a nice restaurant that isn't Wong Kei.

Got to the final boss with 1 life and 4 bombs left, which is more than I need to do it normally. Bus goes over a bump and I die.

Every time I get better at one bit of Maniac, I get so much worse at another bit. Managed to blitz the 2nd half of stage 4 last time, but completely failed at bits I'd never died on on the first half...

I don't think I've ever even got to the final boss yet. Hoping everything comes together pretty fast.
