Paying someone to get PS3 trophies for you

Post by Ruldra »

How desperate do you need to be to pay for this kind of service?
I am offering to get some platinums or trophies in return for PSN cards or money...

If you are having a hard time with those games then I can help you with them.
Business is business and we all need to live...
I am not selling drugs.. I am just offering help for the right price
So far i have done this with about 20 people and it worked fine.. (2000$ total made in both psn cards and paypal)

Prices:

1~15hour plats= 50$
20~30h plats = 50$~100$
35~50hour plats = 150$~200$ depending on difficulty
55~70 hour plats = 250$~300$ depending on difficulty
100+ hour plats = 500$ depending on difficulty

Prices are negotiable

This is like a job...
You work 8 hours per day you earn about 40~70$ depending on your job... ( high jobs get 150~300)

Has anyone actually taken him up on this, or is it just wishful thinking?

Paying for someone elses achievements and parading them around like your own is just sad.

I can lie for free, I have 55 platinums encounting... lol.

Doesn't seem essentially different from buying gold, artifacts and characters farmed by Chinese children in MMORPGs.

Hmmm.. How about Disgaea 4 without the benefit of the (now patched) dupe glitch? That ought to be good for a good 300 hours or so...

At first I thought trophies were dumb, but now this...

The idea that instead of thinking about a video game while at work, you're thinking about how you are working to earn money to pay someone else to beat a video game for you. What's that day the world is supposed to end?

Just another reason why trophies and awards are totally retarded.

Games are supposed to fun and these challenges just make you pull your hair out. Its like saying "get to work in record breaking time" and then finding you hit a red light, or hit a pedestrian, or a learner driver constantly gets in front of you. When gaming makes me make such comparisons for me I'll give it up in a heartbeat.

Can someone tell me why its important to have platinum's anyway? I mean, its just a graphic on your PSN ID.. do you get a million dollars reward or something?

It would unlock the achievements but not the port.

Reminds me of that Kotaku article (not that I read that awful site regularly) about that woman who bought a J-360 and a ton of visual novels/shmups--not because she's into those kinds of games, but because they're easy to get achievements out of. I think she was a single mother on welfare.

I've noticed a lot of people on XBL with that shitty Avatar: Last Airbender game listed in their profile. I doubt they're all Toph fetishists, so it's almost certainly because it has the easiest 'cheevos of any 360 game.

You can get 1000/1000 points in like 5 seconds. It's the ultimate mark of shame.

You should see the people who posts at ps3trophies.org. The stuff they do for trophies is unbelievable.

- Playing games they hate because of easy trophies
- Buying the same game but for different regions because trophies stack
- Buying completely useless DLC because they include trophies
- Avoid buying games that have unattainable trophies
- Completionists who need to have all trophies in every game they put in their console (and make a competition out of it)

I wonder how many soccer moms are going to be mad when they see someone's been swinging their credit card around. I can't see anyone past 14 going for something like this.

That's like hiring someone to go see a movie for you, telling the person to pay with your card so you can see the transaction on your bank account, and then telling the person to never mention anything about that particular movie. At least you didn't have to drive to the theater, thank god.

I decided to work out how much per hour this guy is making

1~15hour plats= 50$ - $50-$3.33/hr
20~30h plats = 50$~100$ - $2.5-$3.33/hr
35~50hour plats = 150$~200$ - $4.28-$4/hr
55~70 hour plats = 250$~300$ - $4.54-$4.28/hr
100+ hour plats = 500$ - $5/hr

Somehow I suddenly feel sorry for him .. D:
