RQ: DonPachi chaining, bees

Post by AWJ »

So... any tips on chaining in the original DonPachi? The system seems to be a lot more restrictive than in DDP--most notably, lasering a large enemy doesn't extend the chain. What kind of chain lengths are feasible in each stage?

Also, are there stage maps somewhere with bee locations? I'm missing several bees in stage 2.

It's not much, but there are bee locations for the first two stages here.

...and here's the ST by yours truly.
Chomsky, Buckminster Fuller, Yunus and Glass would have played Battle Garegga, for sure.

Thanks. I had read the ST already, but the links to the bee guides in it were nonfunctional (probably broken when this forum last moved) You might want to fix them.

Thanks lowemark for the Donpachi bee guide. Level 3 is about as far as I can go while trying to collect bees, so this will be helpful.
