Not bad. The tagline should have been "Was our end" not "Could be our end", as the latter sounds ambiguous and flaky and the former has more clout. They both have the same connotations too, depending on how you read into it.

The Space Jockey creature with the bio-weaponry cannon is briefly shown at 00:44 of the trailer...nice font homage to the original Alien opening title sequence.

June 8th, 2012 will be the day to check it out. It'll be worth the wait, folks. Always wondered what happened before the events that take place in the original Alien flick and we'll finally find out what happens.

Yep, Weyland-Yutani Co. has it's heavy iron hand grip with massive expenditures on deep-space mining/exploration. It's a given.

Expect some more trailers to get the hype out later on.

Before it hits here, I don't think that guy is a Jockey at all. I think he's a human altered with their tech, the purpose of the mission in general. The chair/telescope in the original was massive, and you can clearly see him being protected by the men with guns in the trailer. Not to mention the examined helmet is so small... I believe it to be a recreation made to fit that man, who is also seen in the wheelchair. This also goes along with the mythology behind the title, 'Prometheus'. I'd say he was a 'Reverse Engineer'.

Because they stick so rigidly to a formula with modern movies that they always forget about giving any of the characters any character.

Awesomely cheesy as that He-Man trailer is, you can instantly see definition in every character in every shot. The fact that they're cliche doesn't even matter. The marines in Aliens were cliche, but they all had distinct personalities: that's what an ensemble cast is all about.

Watch the Prometheus trailer and you don't give a fuck about who anyone is, they all just blend into one bland entity. The script (at least in the trailer) is shite too.
