The electric blue is pretty, but the RME works better for me. I don't really need the keys, and the RME is considerably cheaper and I can just control it with my master keyboard.

I have envisioned a custom wood desktop rack with my Slim Phatty, a Voyager RME and a couple effects processors....a thing of beauty!

Maybe an Oberheim Matrix 1000/6R too if there is room.

It was a very satisfying build, with some really techy bits inside and some awesome design touches to the mechanism inside it.

It's called Sonic Boom, and its bloody jet engines light up!

I've been pretty impressed with the different Creator sets they have now, none of that licensed crap just good designs. Still haven't bought any yet, I can just imagine one of those exploding on the floor when a cat knocks it off the shelf..
You should've seen the basic old-school Lego light bricks that they used to sell back in the early '80s. It took a bit of design ingenuity to accomodate them (with using an external battery box and wiring harness setup + three "C" type batteries to power everything or hook up a 9 volt battery for super bllnding hot "white lighting" effects). After watching Firefox back in the '80s, it gave me the inspiration to build a sleek Lego blue jet with a pair of Lego light bricks and the twin engine exhaust ports could change from yellow to red if it needed be (for that cool "afterburner" effect). Those were the days when the early '80s Lego parts weren't as specialized/techincal as they are nowdays. It looked cool in a pitch black enviroment indeed. Sure, you had your elaborate (and pricey) Lego Expert Builder/Technic sets if you wanted to get more specialized.

The old-school Lego Expert Builder/Technic idea books (circa 1982) command some serious $$$ nowdays (considering they're out of print).

Goddamn! I've wanted that exact same FM Towns tower for ages.
Fell in love with the platform ever since I saw the first pics in an issue of EGM back in 1989. Still haven't gotten around to getting one...

I've really enjoyed it so far. I've noticed a little slowdown in a few of the games, but what can you expect from a 16 MHz 386.

You guessed correctly.
It's pretty furry (that's a minus for me, might be a plus for some) but it's really nice on the technical side of things - sorta hard to believe this thing runs on DS Hardware.

many taito games run correct in fmtowns basis. but you need a better unit for Great Mahou daisakusen (someone proved it in youtube video).

Hokuto no Ken condoms. I won't mention what size I bought, but Toki is Large and Rao is XL.

You have to wonder how many of this particular brand go unused.

Not to get too personal, but a pretty nice haul. Condoms, cookies, and seaweed.

The condom wrappers each have sort-of sex-related quotes from Hokuto no Ken. No "Omae wa mou shindieru" though.

Wonder if anyone ever used the condoms that came with Kenji Eno's Short Warp on 3DO.

Oh god, "Just Fit" is what it says in Mushihime-Tama.

I know them well! I have kept every box, manual and brick of something like 28 years of Lego fandom. The best kit I have with the battery block/harness set-up is this beauty:

should arrive.

It's an ASUS N75SF, with an Intel Core i7 2670QM (2.2 GHz Quadcore), 8 GB ram, 2 x 640 GB HDD, Geforce GT 555m with 2 GB VRam, BluRay-Drive and a 17,3" Full HD (1920 x 1080) display. Really looking forward to this one, it shall replace my desktop (which is still way more powerful, but as I'm not the powergamer anymore (and as I'm becoming a father as of january 2012... and we need more room in our home-office...), the N75SF brings enough power at a reasonable price.).
