Is there seriously no "screen flip" for Ketsui?

I can't find it anywhere in the menus, and the instruction sheet is no help.

Unfortunately there is not, just as there isn't with the other newer Cave games apparently. Yeah, I had the exact same problem, and it eventually boiled down to rotating the monitor physically. A bitch, I know. :?

Bummer. Well, thanks so, much for the reply, Russ. I'd have been wondering for a while, heh.

I'm waiting for this game in the mail... which way does it tate? CCW (the normal way) or CW? ...not like it really matters, the Commodore monitor is a snap to rotate, I'm just curious.

CCW (which is the default for every shmup PCB I own).

Anyone know how to turn the volume down on this PCB?

There is a volume control on the board. A couple of pics below. :)

There's a pot for it on the board. There should be a big silver heatsink looking thing on one side of the board (directly across from the dip switch bank). Right below that is an orange-ish "dial". This adjusts the volume.

I recall reading about some "devil switch" on this board, and someone saying "Don't touch the switch!"

Which one is it and what does it do (more like why is it there)? I need to know so I don't kill my board by accident.....

Referencing the PCB picture Ord posted:

Look up top near the dip switch bank, there's a red thing with a metal throw switch attached (it's right next to the big greenish-blue cylinder). I believe that's the evil switch. Don't touch it. Really, the only thing you ever need to touch is dip switch #1 to enter the config screens, so just stick to that and you're safe.

took this picture when i got the board last year:

'sw1' would be the one. iirc sw2 is the little button to the upper right, thats to get into the config screen i think (i just use the service button on my cab). no clue about the switches on sw3, havent heard anything about those.

btw ive flicked the switch before. not that big of a deal to fix it, just go into the config and reset all defaults and reset, should be fine. i found one bug (at least on my board) on free play, hitting start during the attract demo basically caused a similar thing to what the devil switch did. just need to reset the game when it crashes though (instead of going into config, defaults, etc).

That is a bug on everyones board, there are many more. Like the Stage 5 music playing at half speed. I once read that there is possibly a fixed version? If someone ever gets a Ketsui that doesn't have problems they should let us know!

Delayed sound effect? It is only level 5 that will play at half speed sometimes.
