Mystery Object Identification

Post by mjclark »

Anyone know what this is?
Image

I found it on the beach- the white edging is rubber and the stuff inside is like a very compacted black powder...
...No-one I've shown it to has any idea although someone thought it might be part of a battery :D

Actually the guy who thought it was a battery-part tasted it but couldn't taste anything (it's been in the sea for a bit eh?).
I also scraped a bit of it and burnt it but there was nothing particularly distinctive about the smoke either...

Mysterious epic gunpowder for our pirate ships? :D

Now that's something strange. It kind of looks like those silicon/rubber things put on glasses. The sea surely is strange, eh?

It's probably drugs that an Armenian sailor was smuggling up his ass, wrapped in a broken condom. He had to shit it over the side of the ship when the police searched it.

How did it taste again?

You should totally put it in a spoon, hold a lighter under it until it liquefies, then inject it into your bloodstream with a hypodermic needle...

What is that next to it, a coin? For a second I thought it might be a tin of Copenhagen snuff or something. Fine cut. Don't know what's up with the container though.

Try putting a pinch of it between your bottom lip and gums and see if you get a nice buzz going. :D

Ah, not one of those things again. I've got like ten of them sitting round my house as we speak. They've brought me no end of trouble but unfortunately I just can't seem to get rid of them

It's probably an ancient artifact that's inevitable going to cause horrible things to happen. After all, there must be some truth to the those thousands of horror flicks.

It's an anusite. At night it crawls around in search of a warm, moist place to deposit eggs - typically an anus. If you handled it during the day it will use that scent to directly track your anus and turn it into a factory for its larvae.

Could it be a scrub brush that's bristles have rotted off?

An OOPArt, eh? Does it get inside the ship from different routes and destroy the core at each end?

Have you guys figured out what that goddamn thing is yet?

I vote it is too small to be a scrub brush. Can we get more photos from other angles?

Have you tried listing it on ebay as a mystery object yet?
