This sounds delightful. Catchy chiptune goodness.

Did you actually use any retro chipsets to produce the sounds? A lot of this sounds like the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive hardware to me, actually.

Edit: Actually, now that I think about it some more, the game that this soundtrack most reminds me of is Super Star Soldier on the TG-16. Good tunes!

Hey! Glad you guys like it!
Most of the music is created with an old PC program, Fast Tracker II - I did extensive mixing work afterwards to make it presentable though.
Some of the biggest sources of inspiration were TG-16, MD and Arcade shooters, but the sounds are in no way an emulation of actual hardware.

Aye - absolute VGM euphoria. I don't think most actual game music nails "the sense of videogame elation" zabu said he was going for this well. The grittier Gameboy version track is my second favourite.
