In love with The Black Hear Procession's 1 album.

I have three and six sitting on my turntable, for when I get home.

Ever since Mick Karn passed away earlier this year, I've been listening to his debut solo album off an on. It's strange he opted to include instrumentals for the first half. However, two of the songs pretty much make the entire album stand out. He's one of those instances where he plays all the instruments in his works, which impresses me. The album cover is cheezy as hell - it looks like it was designed by the same guy who did the Sega Master System game covers 8)

Don't let the funky dollar-bin cover fool ye, these two classics are worth the price of admission:

Black Foliage: Animation Music Volume One

I just got the Olivia Tremor Control vinyl reissues. They are amazing! I was lucky enough to receive coloured versions of each and they are free of defects (some people are complaining of a warped Side 3 on 'Dusk')

If you've never heard these records and think you might enjoy some obscure 90's psychedlic pop, these are HIGHLY recommended

Shonen Knife - Pretty Little Baka Guy - have been listening to too much modern SK recently, so going back to the early stuff. Love the metronome drumming.

I was really surprised when I heard it for the first time. I thought it was Cold Cave, actually.

The opener is probably my favorite song on the album atm.

i'm listening to the chase and status - no more idols album (yes , late to the "party") and i can't tell if i like it or not ! Seems to swing from being good to overly cheesy, but it's been awesome in parts when i've been sprint training as it's pretty amped at times.

The son has become entranced with the guitar so i've been playing stuff by the Decemberists which has thrown me back to The Hazards of Love specifically - HoL 4: The Drowning and also Art Of Fighting's Second Storey mainly Come Round and Show Me.

Other than that Underworld's Barking has been the constant sound track since it came out - a love hate album for me, it's taken a lot longer than usual to get used to but Grace, Between Stars, Bird 1 are all awesome.

I would love to get hold of the Matching Mole albums but they are expensive and, last time I checked, import only.

I am currently listening to The Fall's Light User Syndrome. Best band in the world who have given me more pleasure over the years than most other bands combined.

Nice finds. I have all of his solo records and soft machine stuff but not the singles. I wanted to pick up the ep collection on domino but think I might have missed the boat...

The first one is completely worth it. As good an album (IMO) as Rock Bottom.

I will have to have another look around and see what I can do.

Is Memories a live recording? If it is the Hugh Hopper song from the live album with friends then it is an absolute corker of a song.

doesn't sound live on the 45.it does have hugh hopper on the credits so mebbes it's just a studio version.
it's dated 1974 and on virgin. reminds me to listen to the hugh hopper monster band lp. a very dingy and distorted jazz prog fuzzy live show on one side and all electronic drones and loops the other side.very recommended

Orchid - Capricorn - Shameless aping of Ozzy-era Black Sabbath but who cares? Tons of good riffs and catchy songs.
Noothgrush - Live For Nothing - Awesome Grief-style sludge from the 90's.

Good times with Electric Wizard. They're a favorite of mine, though I really do not like Black Masses. That one kinda sucks. I'd put rank them Come My Fanatics>Dopethrone>Self titled>Let Us Prey>Witchcult Today>>>>>>>>We Live>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Black Masses.
