Hey, what's the difference between those two Spriggan Mark 2s? And what's the game to the above-right of Thunder Blade?

Yeah I was wondering that too. And why buy 2, I'm not even sure it's worth buying that game once - it's a bit pap.

The one with the golden spinecard is the 2nd printing. It also has a small sticker on the back that says "meisaku genteiban" which means something like "limited release due to popularity".

Apart from these minor details the two versions are exactly the same and afaik there's no difference in rarity or price.

Oh yeah, the game to the top right of Thunder Blade is Cyber Core.

I haven't played it yet, is the gameplay actually sound - from vids i've seen it just seems like a quirky niche game, which to me doesn't justify owning.

Guys, Ai Cho Aniki is kusoge gaming at its finest. IE it plays like total shit. It's purely for the novelty of owning a shmup featuring gay body builders with life-sized hitboxes.

Ai Cho Aniki and its prequel are actually two of the "better" games in the series. I realize this isn't saying much but at least there is none of the digitized horror that appeared in the PSX release.

I've been busy buying some PC Engine games this month too.
Kai-Serd, Patlabor, Cyber City Oedo, Graduation, Sol Bianca, Basted, Vasteel, Puyo Puyo CD, Mamono Hunter Yohko, and I finally got the third and final Ranma 1/2 game too, yay. You'll notice the disproportionate love for Masaya games in this loot. The Masaya homepage is coming along, and I have a guy who has offered to help with the page design. The logo he created looks stellar.

What kind of gameplay are most of these games? By todays standards I would expect visual novels, but these look old enough that they might be legit games?

Can't wait to break this puppy in this weekend. I love the arrows on the dust cover, such an awesome touch. Size and weight are exactly what I was looking for.

I'm definitely not modding it straight away -- I want to spend some time with it to see if it needs any "adjustment" first. Gonna test out TvC, GGXX:AC, Metal Slug, Karous, some SNES shmups. I can tell the buttons are probably going to be an issue ... they're a tad mushy for my preference. But some gameplay might prove otherwise.

It's such a great looking stick on of the box, even if I do mod it, I'd keep it stock looking for sure.

Marble Madness was the first cab I restored, and then sold for a measly $350! That and painting my first candy cab (an Astro City 2...doh!) were the two biggest mistakes I ever made in this hobby.

Congrats on a job well done!

Hahah. I love C.H.U.D. and all those 80s B-Horror flicks. I'm talking about the classics here: Return Of The Living Dead, The Blob remake, Invaders From Mars remake, Fright Night, Slugs, The Stuff, Ghoulies down to cheezorama such as Sleepaway Camp, Slugs, Return Of The Deadly Spawn, Sorority House Massacre, anything by Jim Wynorski, and the Troma schlock. These aren't movies to be judged on the merit of craft, but of how much fun to make they seem.

Coincidentally, I also post at a record collectors' and sellers' board, and they refer to records of no value as "chud." I think the term comes from the movie hahaha

What feedback would you leave to this? I'm probably overreacting, but I was a bit disappointed when I received my MSR:

Yes, I know my camera sucks.

The ad listed the game's condition as "very good". Close, but not really. The disc came with some light scratches, and what seems to be a line drawn with a permanent marker. The box also had a marker line, a tiny crack on the back, and some sticker goo that I've already cleaned. And the manual's back cover had an ugly dent on the back. It was just $15, I don't want to cause trouble for such a small thing, I'd gladly get it as a "good" item... but a more honest, self-critical description wouldn't hurt, would it?

You can find this game for less than 15 in almost the same condition or better. I'd give him 2 or 3 out of 5 stars at Amazon. On E-bay, he'd get a neutral at best. His description of the item sucked, his price for it sucked, but he delivered, so it was kinda fair. Perhaps you could arrange for a partial refund or return it altogether and get all your money back.

As a video collector, I've gotten some really beat items and I've been patient/lenient 99% of the time, but if you get me on the wrong day, and the DVD case has rental stickers all over, I'll give the seller a "1" and wait to see if they'll either take it or contact me for a refund. I f*****g hate rental stickers and other markings.

Oh, my bad, the $15 included international shipping. The game alone was $8.

The case looks as if it could be replaced... unless it's a Sega-specific case with a logo and junk. The marker line can be removed with some carefully applied alcohol. The scratches on the disc could be repaired a bit with one of those disc cleaners. I'd take one star out of five. I wouldn't leave feedback on E-bay and just forget about the ordeal. Personally, I hate inaccurate descriptions of items, but I do tend to be easy on most sellers.

^ That's not terrible, it wasn't described as Like New, very good is expected to have very minor wear, and yes "Good" was probably more accurate, but I don't think it warrants a neutral feedback.

Personally I won't ship to Brazil via ebay, because most packages take 30-50 days as there is a major customs hangup for some reason, thus I have been forced to refund at 45 days, only to see the item eventually track there. So that he was willing to ship international is a nice thing really.

Thos DC cases are specific and do have markings, a generic CD case works fine of course, but some folks really want the SEGA specific cases.

Really if you are a collector and want mint/mint, i'd avoid ebay/amazon anyways, stick to the forums where you can get multiple pictures and dialogue if needed.

Nice selection. Prepare to be depressed by Rumbling Hearts. I haven't seen much of the new Birdy the Mighty, but what I have seen was pretty good. School Rumble is hilarious.
