Goddamit.

After reading the thread title I hoped to play a crazy doujin shmup with the Power Rangers.

It was a definitely a fun read. This guy seems to like shmups (DDP, DS2, Guwange), I wonder if he has an account here. But reading his name, KiethSomataw99, I doubt he's a troll, he's probably 12, so let kids be kids and move on. At least this would be a good sign that kids these days still like to play shmups. :P

Hmmmm. Really can't work out if it's a troll or not. If this were posted on this forum, I would dismiss it, but the truth is there are a lot of stupid people on the internet. Hmmmm.

I like how the German guy is called Hans and the Japanese girl is a high school student. Guy has his stereotypes down.

A German engineer. I can already picture him, fat, with his glasses and moustache, and wearing his brown jacket.

 I was like this once. Thought I could just mail my half-baked ideas to a game company ans have them instantly make a game for me. This post isn't so much bad as it is pitiful.

Yep. I went through a phase of eye-stabbing-inducing drivel I posted on StarCraft forums as a 12-year-old.

Dear god. I just remembered junior high romances over AIM....

That mod has no sense of humor, lol.

I was hoping for some sort of parody when the element dolls as sailor moon-esque magical girls or something. Disappointed =(.

Yeah, Atlus forums are some of the worst on the internet. Horrible piece of shit user base, and the mods are just as lame.

That jeffx guy is literally the worst kind of poster; posting to be seen and not heard, the king of "LOLWUT" response that doesn't hold any place anywhere beyond his own mind.

Some of those game suggestions are just insane. The people requesting them don't really understand the first thing about the game industry. Games by companies that already have divisions outside of Japan are out of the question; obviously NISA isn't going to have Atlus localize Disgaea 4.

Worse still are Atlus Staff who actually think they have set the bar for Japanese→English releases, evident by one staff member who basically said "don't buy our older games because they're old and we don't care", which is the exact opposite of what a fan is supposed to do. While I don't need to rely on localizations it's pretty obvious that Aksys and XSEED have come further in a shorter amount of time.
I haven't actively browsed/used this forum in many years and it's no longer an accurate representation of me.

I have retired from genre-specific content creation after 13 years, but I'll always love this little genre in my own personal way.

*facepalm* I'm losing all hope on modern games and their publishers...

I think the idea that that is even possible is a bit scary, considering I have some old account names somewhere with "98" in them simply because I created that username in 1998...

Sounds like the OP in the Atlus forums hasn't played Video System's Sonic Wings/Aero Fighters series yet...same concept of many different pilots to choose from with different ending stories after completion.

This gave me a good chuckle reading how silly it was, it reminded me of a post I made that was this bad once, way back when I was a newb to the internets and had AOL as my ISP [read: a decade and some change ago :P].
Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.

I don't know, some of the ideas almost sound too similar to games like Aero Fighters and Gunbird for it to be a coincidence. Maybe he had a marathon of Psyiko, Video System, and Cave games, while doing some LSD. ;)

Your right though. Some of the ideas sound familiar.

DOJ had different endings for each doll. They were all pretty rough, though. Gotta love CAVE's fetish for BAD ENDs.
