The news was too secret and shocking to be discussed by PM or email, spadgy even made us huddle into a toilet cubicle in KFC where he was sure there were no bugs (of the recording kind anyway) and when some guy walked in part way through he whipped out a nine and straight up capped him, ice cold.

In other news which can be shared - and which will please Illyrian - DOJ is back in the sit down cab.

A weird night. I managed to pull off the tricky recharge in the Graveyard stage every time - yet failed continuously in the volcano ??? Maybe it was that huge bombshell that Spadgy dropped. Who knew. I know that if I have a good run 260mil should be possible with my current route - I just got to remember to dodge bullets and shoot things.

Sometimes it's more interesting to watch someone playing.. rather than playing

The news isn't that big at all!

I mean, it's just that Cave RSG are releasing a new Cave-made home arcade system console soon to be available in UK shops... (I'm lying).

It is actually mainly to do with the DS competition, and another possible comp.

Great night at Casino last night with Illyrian, Dan76, hzt, CHI and some of the fighter crowd (playing Darius upstairs!).

So - my DOJ is now in the big sitdown cab, I took my Mushi home as it turned out Casino's Mushi is suddenly working again. That's now in the shitty stand-up cab. Everything else is where it was still.

Really enjoyed seeing DOJ on a nice cab again.

For me? Five years, give or take a few...

I might actually head down Friday daytime (I'm off work and suddenly Mrs Spadgy is busy...) so if anybody is about then let me know.

I'll be down Friday if you are, I have nothing to do this week except play games. I might practice DOJ in mame and see if I can stop sucking without having to turn all my savings into pound coins.

And Illyrian, I'll bring MMP/PS in tomorrow evening if you're there.

I'll not be down tonight, my sleep has gone to hell this week and I really don't have the energy.

I will most likely be down on tuesday next week Theo, but I'll confirm that online.

Many thanks for lending that to me.

Won't be able to try it until tomorrow night when my new shelves are dry from the paint job.

I will confirm that all is well once I've tried it though!

Many thanks for the code man.

spadgy (and anyone else with nothing better to do today) if you're coming down I'm going to be in Casino basically all day - I have to hang around at least near my uni and grinding DOJ is more fun than grinding classical Chinese at the library or something.

Great time yesterday guys, thanks for coming down! We'll have to do it again sometime for more life-size shmupping.

Also, hzt, did you polish that bottle of Jack on your own?! :|

Yesterday was fun, I really want a projector now. Sorry we left early, I was going to come back later but I took an immensely long time eating and then was too tired.

The bottle was only about a third full to begin with and I think JDE had some, no one else seemed interested though...

@Illyrian
I'll be there. No need to bring MMP, you can keep it for now.

Had a great time - cheers - and thanks to George and Rupert H I had some early shmup education. Recca had been something I'd heard about but never seen. hzt - you played this? It's pink sweets on the nes! Who knew - well most people except for me.

I'll be in Casino tomorrow, about 5.

I love Recca, that's partly why I always wanted to play Pink Sweets.

Gutted I missed Skykid and Brother G's hospitality, playing Recca and seeing you lot. I bet you were all wearing my hoody too!

Are there pics?

Anyway, I can do Wednesday and/or Thursday at Casino this week. Any of you guys there on either of those days?

I had an awesome time as well, great fun and great hospitality from Tom and George! I have to get Judgement Silversword now, it's so good.

Guess who can only do Wednesday now!? Sadly I've got a funeral Friday, and I've learned I'll have to travel down Thursday night.

Anybody down Wednesday?

Going by what was said this evening everyone is planning to try and head down tomorrow, so at least a couple of us should make it.

I finally got the Casper clear in the arcade today, with a shitty score because I've developed a fear of taking even the smallest risk after how badly I've been playing, and dan76 enjoyed some Fun With Suicide Bullets™.

We also discovered that although the colour is fixed on the cab Mushi is in now moving to the edges of the screen allows you to warp time and space. Then CHI played a credit so good the game just froze and refused to allow him to play any more... he went one level beyond a counter stop to a GAME STOP. I probably didn't need to take so many photos but I though it was funny.

The last one is blurry because I was trying to recreate the space/time warping, and certainly not because I'm incapable of holding my hands still.

That's brilliant. Perhaps if CHI perfects it he can actually pause his own time so he never ages. Oh... wait... that's already the case
So it would seem that PCB isn't working quite as much as the engineer thought huh?

The PCB wasn't working but that's OK because he just installed the other one they had. When your Mushi was in there were actually three Mushi boards in Casino.

He was telling me about getting IDed for cigarettes the other day and I was definitely surprised when he told me he's actually 87.

Saw Dan76 and hzt down the arcade last night.

Thanks to CHI and hzt for getting the hoody back to me last night that I'd left at Tom's Seaside Shmupmeet.

And get this JDE... When I arrived at Casino last night hzt was wearing my hoody! That ups my cool-count at least 1000-fold!

I went down this afternoon, determined that it will probably take me years to manage suicide bullets, added a crappy 10mil to my Casper score, then, finally, had a great run going... until the point I could not activate power up no matter how I pressed the buttons. This happened once before and I died that time as well. Casino is awesome.
